Palm Tree ❤️‍🔥 Dispo partout — Un appel impossible à ignorer. Une course contre soi-même. Ce sentiment d’être arrivé trop tard. Dans les cendres, une renaissance. by @de.villemtl
#NewNoise: Montreal-based Moroccan duo De.Ville deliver a hazy, sun-drenched soundscape that lands right at the intersection of a North African sunset and a retro-futuristic skyline on their latest single, ‘Palm Tree’, Built on an 80s-inspired synth-wave foundation, the track pulls you in with a heavy, resonant bassline and a steady, driving groove. A continuous synth arpeggio ripples beneath the surface, injecting a kinetic energy that contrasts sharply with floating, soulful saxophone lines. The lead vocals pierce through these dense, atmospheric textures with a commanding performance, delivering an emotional weight that balances melancholic nostalgia with powerful delivery. The accompanying music video, directed by Reda Lahmouid, and shot across Morocco, captures this exact dual nature. Adopting a reflective, meditative lens, the visual pairs sweeping natural landscapes with intimate, quiet moments, mirroring both the track’s rhythmic warmth and its introspective core.
