Real quick:
Drop 🔥 if you aren't reading the rest
OR
Drop 🤌🏼 if you read the entire thing

I recently came across this arrangement of NewJeans' Ditto and I had to give it a shot. Since I rarely work on personal music projects these days, recording and editing both the audio and video took me way too long but it was fun to get back into the flow!

Life's been busy, but I'm quietly finding more ways to make time to work on my own music again.

Hope you dig this little arrangement. ✌🏼

For the playaz:

big 🎸: Dingwall NG3
🎹: Novation 49

Life is short: Play pop punk and make cool stuff with your friends - it’s way more fun that way.

ILMLIMP releases on Dec 22nd - pre-save to get the full track on release day. :)

Big thanks to @radicalcup @rinchowwww and Aerin for gracing this track with their vocals!

I'm curious:
Drop a 🔥 if you don't wanna read
OR
Drop a 👻 if you're not a bot. 👁️👄👁️

The boy @r.sarakul recently posted about perfectionism and how it can inhibit creative pursuits. It hit home. Believe it or not, I've had this little cover/mash-up sitting in a drive for the better part of a year now, lol. Putting this little reel together (and sheer curiorsity for filmmaking) helped to reignite my creative spark.

So, here we are: A mash-up of two NewJeans songs that are well outside my vocal range and comfort, purely for the joy of creating.

Hope you guys dig this little arrangement. ✌🏼

P.S. You get to tell me what song to cover next if you can spot and comment all the stupid side messages in the video. 🥲

For the playaz:
small 🎸s: Fender Strat & Yamaha Revstar II 👀
big 🎸: Dingwall NG3
🎹: Novation 49
🎛️: UAD Apollo Twin USB

I was wiping a couple of my old phones and dug up this old gem. Remember when Instagram wasn’t a wasteland of ads and AI slop?

Anyway, here’s my half-baked solo guitar arrangement of Isn’t She Lovely. 🫡 🎸

Just like any other year, 2025 had its ups and downs. I learned a lot and rediscovered old passions. I couldn’t stuff it all into a single post, so I made a carousel of reels of my favourite moments. If you watch through each one, drop a quick 🐈 so I know you’re not a bot. 😂

1. Finally got to visit Japan!
2. Rediscovered the joy of motion through weekly basketball runs. I’m still not a hooper, but it’s always a blast.
3. Wheeze laughing is a common thing amongst @teachild.records . 😅
4. Little slices of life with family, friends, and hobbies.
5. First release under @titansoftomorrow
6. Bloopers from @teachild.records odoriko shoot(s).
7. Hi, STAYC 👋🏼

tl;dr: Family, friends, sports, and rediscovering my creative spark. Thanks, 2025. by @de.vxga

Remember how I said life is short, so we should play pop punk and make cool stuff with friends?

@radicalcup came through and brought this demo back from the dead. She even did the cover art, just so you know. 😂🫡

I don't have a well-rehearsed or produced reel for this year. I let my creativity take me in other directions beyond music in 2024 and it was surprisingly fruitful.

This reel is absolutely unremarkable. I'm working on getting my hands back up to speed...but everything looks so tense.

I'm still a musician at heart, but my brain was seeking fulfillment in different mediums. I dabbled in more video editing and even some non-musical content creation.

That's not to say that I didn't bother with music at all in 2024, I just didn't make it my main creatve outlet. And boy, do I miss it. Life also changed quite a bit for me and I spent a ton of time just enjoying the new norm.

I'm still dead set on more releases with @teachild.mp3 and very keen to teach, collaborate, and consult on any musical endeavour.

So here's a video of me trying to get my picking hand back in order. It's a sloppy performance, but it's where I'm at. I don't think I'll be invited to any studio sessions in the near future. 😂

Here's to another year - I hope you all achieve whatever you're working towards in 2025. by @de.vxga

sounds from the studio / proof of (musical) life

i've always entertained the idea of filming studio vlogs, but thought that it would be pretty boring. there's nothing remarkable about this video, honestly. i'm mostly entertained by the fact that i can't play a slow, sustained guitar line for the life of me. 😂 by @de.vxga

Damn, seems like I can't write a hook worth anything. 😂
If you read this thing, please leave a few music recs ...I could stand to update my playlists. 🙏🏼

Here's the ETA/Super Shy mash-up without my struggle vocals. I like to publish the session view of a track so people can enjoy the instrumental and ear candy scattered throughout a production. I left little text notes throughout the reel in case anybody is interested in that sort of thing.

Thanks for listening (or reading)!

For the playaz:
Small 🎸: Fender Strat & Yamaha Revstar II
Big 🎸: Dingwall NG3
Keys 🎹: Novation Launchkey 49 & NI The Gentleman
Drums/Percs 🥁: GGD Benny Greb Library & Battery 4 Library

I'm not sure who would be interested, but I thought I'd post the session view of Ditto (without my struggle vocals 😅). Swipe to listen to the instrumental.

Sidebar: I dislike that this had to be a separate post - @instagram , please allow carousel posts on Reels, thank you.
