Managed to route 6 channels of midi from #orcλ thru 6 tracks on the #octatrack into all 6 tracks on the #elektronmodelcycles for some #euclidean #polyrhythms
I love this thing already. It’s genius .

Rq preview of my dn2 mk2 custom fw which adds a FULL Casio cz-style phase distortion synth engine, a rings/elements style polyphonic resonator, an improved version of the waverider synth that someone else implemented before i did this, and some additional filter modes that add exp/log curves, lpg-like behavior, sharper transients, and a freq shifter in place of the per track filter (as a filter option) by @de_patterning

Giving #mvave FM-1 #customfirmware a shot.
I put my vibe coded “dream synth build” into an emulator to see how it would work on the FM-1. The functionality is there, you can patch any step to two others for 2 independent play heads, but I still need to work some things out.

The articulation, mod matrix/custom algorithms, and dynamic modulation all seem to work fine for the most part. For now im just happy to see this sequencer in action, on a #Temu dx7 by @de_patterning

Recursive #cybernetic patch with the #behringermodel15

First few minutes with this #synth, I decided to create a patch loosely based on @gunnar.hasgram’s jaap vink inspired recursive sound patch

Mostly since I had not yet connected it to midi,
I patched the s&h lfo into the gate and vco pitch, frequency modulated and hard synced between oscillators, set the lfo to modulate its own rate, then ran the built in reverb back into the audio input so the particulate from that output excites the signal further and feeds back into itself by @de_patterning

v1.27 of my custom-built DIY Nebulae Granular Looper Pedal

Finally got it to a place I’m happy with; a very musical granular audio re-arranger/mangler/processor

New FW Changes:

A third control page and an effects section, plus a global second LFO.

Page 3. Hold “Bypass” Footswitch(FS1) with SHIFT up for six more knobs, unlabelled on the panel. They carry a bandpass filter, a second LFO, a frequency shifter and grain pitch randomisation.

LFO 2, global. Rate and depth on POT2 and POT3. It is normalled to loop length, so the loop breathes longer and shorter while the playhead rate follows inversely. Its shape tracks its own rate: asymmetric and audible when slow, easing to a plain sine as it speeds up. Hold page 3 and flip SW2 to also route it to the bandpass, LED2 confirms.

Freq shift. Bode-style single-sideband, Hilbert transform with one sideband only, so it is inharmonic rather than ring mod. 0.5 Hz to 100 Hz each side, off at centre, with its own dry/wet on POT4. Measured 46 dB image rejection. Wet mix knob allows for some very pleasant musical “beating” and timbral modulation

Bandpass. Sweepable 12 dB/oct state-variable filter, last in the chain. Off at centre, down to 120 Hz counter-clockwise, up to 6 kHz clockwise, with makeup gain so the filtered signal stays present

Grain pitch randomisation. The module’s Pitch secondary, restored. Each grain gets its own detune, assigned at launch, up to plus or minus 120 cents on a squared curve. In conjunction with SPRAY: spray decorrelates where grains read, this decorrelates how fast

FS1 hold resets pages 2 and 3 to their defaults. Page 1 is untouched deliberately. LED2 blinks to confirm. Bypass moved to release so a hold does not also flip it

Catch gets a give-up threshold on pages 2 and 3. Turn a knob about a sixth of a turn without crossing its stored value and it takes over where you are, crossfaded so there is no click. Page 1 stays pure catch. This fixes controls that default to an extreme and read as dead

A port of the Qu-Bit Nebulae v2 granular looper to a guitar pedal, running on an Electrosmith Daisy Seed3 in a PedalPCB Terrarium platform

Phase vocoder and granular processor running in parallel off a shared 120-second live buffer, with a blend between them

Running v1.9 in this demo. Current fw is 1.10 which adds Spray for more granular overlap, improved overdub punch-in sound-on-sound looping with dedicated overdub layer gain, independent second lfo for Size knob, Bode style frequency shifter, tertiary shift functions when bypass switch is held while shift toggle is engaged

My iteration of the “Nebulae v2” granular looper in mono pedal format using the daisy seed3 w/PedalPCB Terrarium board

It has all the same features and functionality except cv is replaced by internal sine to tri lfo on the start param, no sample loading since I use this as a live effect anyway, no stereo, secondary functions use the 1st toggle, resample feedback to loop “mix” mode retained, “blend” fades between granular mode and phase vocoder or a blend of both, added expodec shape to grain window with a toggle, toggle 4 freezes the loop, shortened the buffer to two minutes so I could run the audio in 24 bit, added input gain and output level.

on my next build I will add an input buffer/op amp boost circuit, refine the decal print(darken black/bolder contrast design, larger more readable text labels), use a black powder coated enclosure with black hardware, and swap the 3mm rec led with a bi-color rg led

Works perfectly, very happy with this one. The Nebulae v2 from qubit is my favorite granular tool/loop re-arranger/mangler/morpher I’ve ever used
