Where Toronto gets its records!
Bloordale + The Village in Tkaronto/Toronto

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

It’s that time of year again folks…

RECORD STORE DAY BLACK FRIDAY is happening Friday, November 27th, exclusively at our Bloor location!

We’ll be sharing more details soon and will be very busy dogs building hundreds of titles over the next few weeks, so keep an eye out on our website!

In the meantime…

We need your input, seriously. We tried something new for Record Store Day earlier this year by asking you to fill out a requests form, and it went really well! So we’re bringing it back for RSD Black Friday, and once again, YOU get to help shape our lineup.

Got your eye on a must-have? Have a dream pick you’re hoping to get your hands on? Fill out our Google Form and let us know what’s at the top of your list. We’ll do our very best to order your picks and get them onto our shelves.

PLEASE NOTE!!

Everything on the form comes directly from what we have been provided from RSD Canada/US and our distributors. This is NOT a pre-order or a guarantee that we’ll receive your picks. All usual Record Store Day rules apply.

So get those forms filled out, and we will be updating you all soon. We can’t wait to see you all on Black Friday! 🤩

One of our favourite albums of the year is having a much deserved moment, and we couldn’t be happier to see it! 🩸🔥🌟

Haute & Freddy, the eclectic duo blending theatrical pop, glam, and all the campiness, have been on our radar with since before their debut “Big Disgrace” came out a few months ago… And now they’re making waves in the world of the new television adaptation of Stephen King’s “Carrie”…

Mike Flanagan revealed that after hearing their song “Shy Girl” for the first time, he knew that it had to be apart of the show. This specific became so integral to his new adaptation that he actually rewrote the series finale to include it. Their music went on to help shape the show’s entire musical identity and inspiration for Carrie White, with multiple tracks off the album featured throughout.

If you haven’t spent some time with “Big Disgrace” yet, consider this your sign (and to watch Carrie).. We’ve got copies on vinyl and CD in-store and online, alongside a used copy of the original motion picture soundtrack of “Carrie” on CD for all you horror fans!

Cameron Winter takes centre stage.

In stock NOW at both stores, Cameron’s “Live at Carnegie Hall” captures the Geese frontman’s historic December 2025 performance, featuring solo piano renditions of songs from his acclaimed debut “Heavy Metal” alongside three previously unreleased compositions. Intimate, raw, and full of feeling, the performance captures a defining moment in Winter’s evolution as a songwriter and performer.

A glimpse of an artist stepping into his own, with plenty more to come…

TINASHE SEASON IS UPON US! 🌟

With her new album Popstar making waves and earning her the biggest chart debut of her career, Tinashe is having her much deserved MOMENT! But if you’re just getting into the Tinashe universe, there’s plenty more to explore…

BB/Ang3l, her seven-track, electronic R&B project released in 2023. Sleek production, silky vocals, atmospheric soundscapes, and raw emotion make this concise little gem well worth a spin. It’s personal, immersive, and proof that Tinashe has been ahead of the curve for a while now.

The best part? We’ve got a used copy waiting for a new home down here at Church St!!

Press: 2023 US
Variant: Black Vinyl
Condition: VG+

Give us a call to hold! 🙂‍↕️

Before Waxahatchee, there was P.S. Eliot..

Sisters Katie and Allison Crutchfield’s debut in P.S. Eliot’s “Introverted Romance in Our Troubled Minds” is a little piece of DIY indie rock history. Recorded in a living room in Tuscaloosa and released in 2009, the debut album is packed with fuzzy guitars, raw energy, and melancholy.

A must-have or listen for fans of either Crutchfield sister, and a reminder of where it all began!

P.S. Eliot’s “Introverted Romance in Our Troubled Minds” is available now at Dead Dog Records in-store and online.. ❤️🌾

Steve Squared was in full force last night! 🍻

The first Vinyl Show & Tell of the season wrapped up last night and we couldn’t have asked for a better start.

We heard some great tunes, some even better stories, plus one too many delicious beers!

Don’t forget VS&T takes place the first Wednesday of every month until spring, next one is November 4th, hope to see some of you there!
