They called him “Icon”… and one look at this buck tells you why. 😳🦌

Parker put down this absolute Ohio GIANT on September 27—the second day of season—with his crossbow. “Icon” had been showing up on the family farm since June, but like any mature buck, he knew how to play the game. Then, just four days before season, he finally started showing himself in daylight.

200 lbs. hanging weight and a rack that pictures just don’t do justice. 🔥

Parker prepared himself with a Dead Down Wind Hunt Ready Essentials Kit before stepping into the woods and went head-to-toe scent controlled. Icon may have been smart…but he never knew Parker was there. 😏

Congrats, Parker! That’s a buck—and a story—you’ll remember for a lifetime. 👊 Thanks for sharing @leslanum33

It’s a family affair for the Fort crew!! They are die hard Dead Down Wind users and we’re here for it!! 🙌🏻 These bucks get up close and personal, sometimes even sticking their nose in the blind, but DDW keeps these guys undetected!

Nobody - and we mean NOBODY - is blowing this hunt. 😂🕷️

Not you. Not your gear. Not the eight-legged squatter living on your trail cam.

Spray it down. Kill the scent. Leave nothing behind.

When it comes to scent control, it’s like playing the lottery. You can only win if you buy a ticket.

I’ve heard a lot of back-and-forth on whether or not it works. Why not do something that only has upside? Sure you’re spending a couple bucks, but at the end of the day, if it does work, it may be the difference between hitting the Boone and Crockett jackpot or an empty freezer.

The wind can be a fickle lady.

You can fool a deer's eyes and you can fool his ears but you can't fool his nose.

Some people like using scent blockers, wearing their own deer cologne, or swear by old wives-tales about ways to mask their scent, but the best odor control you can use while hunting is simply knowing the wind direction and positioning yourself in a way that the wind won't be carrying your scent directly to where you are anticipating the deer to walk in from.

Scent control just got stupid easy. 😏🧺

Clean the washer. Toss in a detergent sheet. Finish with a dryer sheet. Done.

The Dead Down Wind BLACK Premium Laundry Pack takes you through the whole process - from getting leftover detergent and odors out of your machine to washing and drying your hunting gear with scent control in mind.

No measuring. No messy liquids. No bulky jugs. Just clean gear, less stink, and one less thing to overthink before you hit the woods. 🦌

Wash. Dry. Hunt. Repeat. 🔥 by @deaddownwind_official
