Introducing this year’s @warriorsnyc roster. See you tomorrow night ✨ by @deadfuckinglastnyc
We’re back to answer some questions and raise even more. Picture this…This Saturday, you wake up at 10am. Oh no, you slept through your alarm and you’re late to the ride! Luckily, you live in the back room of the Wyckoff Variety Coffee, so you grab your bike and meet us out front. You’ll roll at 10:30 SHARP in the direction of Cunningham, making one small pit stop at a park off of Myrtle for a little SSCX amuse bouche. Afterwards, you’ll continue on to Cunningham park, where we’ll begin our festivities. We’ve partnered with our friends to bring you a small taste of what you’ll get when you register and attend @sscxwc26bham in Bellingham this October. You’ll be competing in a variety of games, events, and challenges for our love, approval, and most importantly, raffle tickets. With these precious tickets, you’ll be able to enter to win various prizes from a secondhand espresso machine to an entry to @sscxwc26bham (flight not included)! We’ll wrap around 3pm, at which point we’ll have a small podium, run the raffle, and make your way back to Ridgewood for drinks at Evil Twin. With your newfound appreciation for turn apexes, the difficulty of dismounting, and the world’s most simultaneously serious and deeply unserious subcategory of one of the most niche sports, you’ll rush to your computer, phone, or Samsung Smart Fridge and register for the main event in Bellingham WA. Sound good? We’ll see you on Saturday. by @deadfuckinglastnyc
(Singlespeed) Cross is coming (to NYC)! We’re honored, excited, and a little scared to invite you to a day of shenanigans, tomfoolery, and nonsense as we host the NYC edition of @sscxwc26bham ’s Global Reg Day Party. There will be: - A reasonable amount of off-road riding! (for all skill levels) - 30-ish garbage miles to get there! (are we there yet?) - A clinic because we know you all forgot how to mount! (we did too) - Feats of strength! (what the fuck is arm day?) - Points to be earned! (we’ll bring the spreadsheet) - A raffle including schwag, parts, and a free entry to @sscxwc26bham in October! (airfare not included) All bikes and skill levels are welcome, but if you have access to a single speed or fixed gear bicycle with knobby tires, we recommend pulling it out from under the bikes you actually ride, and bringing it. If you don’t, we’ll have a couple loaners and zip ties for when we run out. Meetup at 10 at Variety Coffee on Wyckoff Rolling at 10:30 sharp, destination off-road More to come! by @deadfuckinglastnyc
@all_cars_are_bad and @deadfuckinglastnyc organized an Alleycat Around Brooklyn, and the three past Borolympics events with various extreme weather conditions, this one took the day to be nice and sunny! Thirty-two racers, starting at the main Brooklyn Library by Prospect Park, participants had to sprint to pickup their manifests along the other end of Eastern Parkway, and what an exciting beginning to see! It wasn’t long after an hour we saw results pulling up to the finish of East River Bar. Keeping in the lead, Dane arrived first place, following Andrew coming five minutes after, remaining second in the leaderboard, then Noah third place, first outta towner, from Philly! We soon after had Orchid pull up, first femme, fifth overall, and second outta towner, repping @phillybma and top of the femme leaderboard, Amelia second femme, and Tracey taking third place femme. We wish to thank @fastpassnyc for his time and footage, supplying select racers with record keeping tech, @mpbags, @knog, @bikethomson, @twoseasnyc, @concrete_revolt, @atwbuilds for sponsoring our Brooklyn race, @saloooch for producing these remarkable trophies! @eastriverbar for giving us a roof for the evening, and DFL for bringing everyone together with their radical, punctual organizing! Support DFL, ride their events, and get yourself a legday calendar! 🥇 @paremongputi & @eeeennwwwwbwbwbwbrrr 🥈 @andrew_andrew_bikes & @aerohaart 🥉 @indegoat & @traceyhinder Next up, we’ve got Shaolin Scramble recap and results! Stay tuned by @deadfuckinglastnyc
