CRU TIMING + PORCH GUIDE (SAFE METHOD) You do NOT need to match EDIDs. You only need to match timing totals + refresh rate across both displays. Use CRU’s built‑in timing calculators: • CVT‑RB (Standard) — Reduced Blanking v1 • CVT‑RB2 (Standard) — Reduced Blanking v2 (best for TVs) These auto‑fill porch values correctly for most panels. Your goal: Both displays must share the same timing totals and same Hz, even if their resolutions differ. Example (my setup): • TV: 3840×1080 @ 60.000 Hz (CVT‑RB2) • Monitor: 5120×1440 @ 60.001 Hz (CVT‑RB2) → Eyefinity Group becomes 7680×1080 (TV limits vertical) IMPORTANT: Do NOT heavily modify your TV’s EDID. Keep the stock EDID and only add one common resolution the group will accept. If a panel rejects the timing: Lower pixel clock slightly • Add +2 to back porch • Re‑apply + reboot RESULT: Perfect seam alignment • Zero tearing • Zero distortion • Daily‑use stable by @deadyamurdahead
