Say hello to Akiba ( Hebrew for one who replaces the other) after losing Akeda ( Hebrew for the binding together)we found ourselves very broken. Our girl Anka ( Hebrew for Grace) was unbelievably depressed without her big bubby. So Dean told me to start looking for a puppy. So I looked, and then I looked. I found another bi-eyed black and white and heard the Lord clearly say wait, he’s not the one, you’ll know just like you did with Akeda after Nanook’s passing. Plus we couldn’t have afforded said puppy. So I kept looking. I came across a breeder out of Lakeland and found our new baby. A red and white, crystal blue eyed husky! I prayed he was still available for adoption. Started looking up names in Hebrew and found Akiba, I liked the way it sounded, very similar to Akeda. I thought maybe it would make the transition with the new puppy a little easier on Anka. I didn’t know what it meant at first, but when I looked up the meaning automatically knew it could only be a God thing. Although nothing will ever replace our sweet boy, he was one of a kind and super special, Akiba is a the sweetest addition to our family. He’s crazy smart and super snuggly. I know Akeda helped me pick him out.
