Hello My Sweet Sissy...

Today would have been your birthday here on earth, and in exactly one week from your Birthday 3 years ago, you said hello to Heaven. So... there's that.

But today, I choose Joy.
I choose joy in my heart, knowing that Heaven is your home, that you are more alive than you've ever been, and that you are in the presence of Jesus.

I choose Joy because you live on in my heart every single day and in the memories we made together. Well... okay, maybe not every memory was sunshine and roses... LOL, we had our moments. But they're all part of our story, and I have a lifetime of them I get to cherish forever.

I am still finding the sweet little notes you hid in the most random places around my house over the years. And somehow, when I'm feeling lost, discouraged, or just having a hard day, God always seems to lead me to one... and there you are.

Do I miss you? Yes.... Terribly!
Am I sad? Yes.
Do I cry? Absolutely. ALOT!
But I will not let today or the days ahead be a reason to mope, live in despair, or lose myself in grief.
Because I choose Joy and you are to be celebrated!

My heart is Joyful because God blessed me with two sisters who are unmatched in every way. He gave me you to love me, protect me, defend me, fight for me, and remind me what unconditional love looks like.

I miss everything about you, and my heart is heavy today... but I choose JOY.
Because...

Weeping may endure through the night, but Joy comes in the morning.

It's a milestone for my Sissy!! The most incredible person I know! My Champion, My Hero, My Everything!

You have been my strength when I'm having a tough season, my voice when I needed encouragement and reassurance that everything is going to be ok and my safe place when I needed to share the deep dark stuff without judgment. There are no words big enough to explain how deeply loved and appreciated you are.

On this special birthday, I hope you truly see yourself the way everyone who loves you sees you ... Beautiful, Strong, Selfless, Inspiring, and Unforgettable. You deserve every bit of Joy, Love and Laughter today and everyday Sissy!

Thank you for being the heart of our family and such a blessing in my life. I am endlessly proud to call you my sister.

My Tribe! My People! We've been through some things together. We have laughed, cried, lost, hurt, healed, and celebrated many victories. Through all the years and seasons, one thing we will always agree; God is the reason we live and have our being. I am thankful to Him for the gift of these friendships. by @deanamadden

I always say, "I get to go to work!" rather than "I have to go to work!" I love this group of people I work with. I felt so truly celebrated today; over the top celebrated if I'm being honest. It's not the first time, it's a familiar occurrence. They give and they bless. Thank you, You Beautiful People for making this girl feel better about turning 60 today! I am blessed! by @deanamadden
