A moment everything changed.

In 2012, I stepped away from my corporate life. I didn’t do it because I had it all figured out—I did it because something in me knew I was breaking, and I couldn’t keep ignoring it.

I had to follow my heart. My first steps were messy. It was bumpy, for a while. Not everything looked the way I hoped it would-at least not right away. But it grew into something far bigger than I could have imagined both bad & good.

I’ve turned my work into a big part of my life, and yet I don’t often share the real journey behind it.

I still remember riding past the olive trees outside Florence Italy on my Vespa—feeling like they were quietly calling me toward what was next. (Maybe it sounds dramatic… but I felt it.)

Then came 2015/2016—when I got sober. And honestly? That was the best decision I’ve ever made. That too was not perfect nor linear, but it grew…..It gave me tools, serenity, and the space to reconnect with what I truly love: Trees/plants, gardening, landscape design, and that kind of work that turns “passion & pleasure” into purpose.

Looking back, that “moment everything started to break” wasn’t the end of me. It was the beginning of something bigger.

If you’ve ever felt hopeless & broken, tired & weary—please know this might be the start of something beautiful.

You’re not alone. And you’re not too late. #landscapedesign #gardendesign #hope #me2.0 #vesparide by @deano_turchi

One of the things I love most about this particular garden I designed is how no matter where you stand you are surrounded by Garden and sculptural elements that support the Architectural style of this home. It’s a full embrace everywhere you are in this #spanishrevival garden & home. As the home celebrates its 100th year it’s been refreshed and respected & readied for its next centennial. #hancockpark #mediterraneangarden #landscapedesign #urbangarden This Hancock Park back yard has loads of personality and now I’m on to the front yard.
