I went to China for ten days, visiting 5 cities. Teaching some filmmaking workshops on behalf of @falmouthuni @filmatfalmouth and @tafatfalmouth. Describing the character of the place in words feels like a fool’s errand. This is how some of it looked to me through my Contax G1. On 35mm film - Kodak Color 200. taken in China by @deanpuckett

Some lovely analog BTS shots from the set of SEAGULL by @ddoommmmoorree Available to watch now via @watch_alter and @britishfilminstitute BFI PLAYER. Made during that strange summer of 2021 when we were all still wearing masks. This was a tough shoot for me, but I learned a lot. Honestly, it’s probably my most incomplete film, the only time I’ve made something purely as a proof of concept rather than a fully formed standalone idea. That said, I think we nailed the vibe and atmosphere, and the performances from @max.harwood and @paul57cooper are excellent. It was a real pleasure collaborating with everyone on this bite-sized little vampire jam 🩸🖤 Truly a dream team ✨ Now (hopefully) on to the feature! Producers - Rebecca Wolff, Simeon Costello Executive Producers Kate Byers, Linn Waite, Alice Cabanas 1st AD - Jonny Dry DOP - Ian Forbes Editor - Paco Sweetman Music - Unknown Horrors Casting - Shakyra Dowling CSA Production Designer - Maisie Doherty Costume Designer - Lia-Jo Stephenson Gaffer - John Crooks Makeup Designer VFX - Primary FX Sound Design and Mixing - Matt Coster of Uproar Focus Puller - George Telling Spark - Jago Saxton Art Director - Lucca Benney Sound Recordist - Sam Walker Makeup Designer - Joanna Straczynsca Production Assistants Liv Driver Jess O’Kane Patrick Feeney Generously supported by BFI NETWORK @bfinetwork taken in English Riviera by @deanpuckett
