Book 1: Nine Month Contract by Amy Daws

Romcoms are easily becoming my favorite books to pick up. Nine Month Contract was everything I expected. Amy Daws personality leaps off the page. I had to drive 7+ hours for work and this book was exactly what I needed. I was locked in from the beginning. So enjoy my unhinged reactions. And just for Amy, a shot of fireball to end the book.

Hello my dearest readers!

I’m back from my work assignment. You know it’s summer when I stop being consistent. My book reviews take longer to come in, but you damn well know I still got my reading in.

So let me tell you what I’ve been reading, SMUT. Of course. 😂

I completed Nine Month Contract by Amy Daws last month. Lemme tell you, I HAD THE BEST TIME.

Wyatt Fletcher is thirty-eight-years-old, living in a cabin on Fletcher Mountain, a secluded mountaintop property he purchased in rural Colorado. He lives on this property with two of his three brothers, Calder and Luke. Wyatt wants to become a father on his own. He doesn’t want a relationship, or marriage, just to be a dad. He’s spent months interviewing surrogates with no luck. That’s until Everly, his niece, comes along and finds Trista. She wants to be a surrogate so it can help fund her dream, opening a wildlife refuge. We all know that’s not how this story actually goes down 😉

Let me tell you I was cackling endlessly to this audiobook. Amy Daws’ personality really jumps off the page. Her humor and overall energy is palpable in every paragraph. It’s worth picking up if you’re a fan of Meghan Quinn or Elsie Silver. by @dear.reader.stephani

Can you tell she’s my favorite author? I love all these books so much. But knowing that this world started with Praise, another Forbidden, Age Gap romance, and now we’re at The Daddy’s Girl ❤️💋 If you just got here, I HIGHLY recommend going back and reading Salacious Players Club. It’s one of the best series I’ve ever read 🫶🏻

It’s the End of August. But it’s not the same End of August when you visited a library set in the redwoods. The Henry Miller Memorial library is set in Big Sur where the Timber Fire is currently burning. Due to evacuations, they are closed for the foreseeable future. I just want to reflect on an August when this beautiful space wasn’t threatened by fire. This is where I got my copy of Addie LaRue. This library is a dedicated to literature, art, music, and free expression. Musicians and artists frequently stop by the library to play music and showcase their creativity. It’s a luscious space and a unique place to visit in Big Sur.
