New York! So glad to share that I will be playing some tunes off the new record at @wnyc ‘s @allofitwnyc collaborative series with @nypl on 11/27. Can’t think of a better way to welcome in the holiday season than a night of books & song at the library. You don’t want to miss it. Information in bio. ✌🏼 taken in Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library - SNFL, NYPL by @deardearsongs

Death of a Fairytale out now wherever you stream music. What’s your favourite song? by @deardearsongs

Today, the first full length Dear Dear record “Death of a Fairytale” is released into the world. This is not the timing one might expect, & I’d be lying if I said there haven’t been discouraging feelings surrounding putting out art while we watch the world experience so much pain & tragedy. It can feel small, futile, unrelated. A friend assured me this is the absolute best time to release work. That art & music shine light into moments of darkness, make the world expose a little bit more of its boundless luminescence. I have spent years waiting for this project to build itself to its final form & as I sit in silence reflecting on the hours, people, feelings, things that have been a part of what’s been made here I think this: if there is any chance, that it makes the day, or rather even a single moment of even one person’s day, I am content. I hope you love it. I hope you share it. I hope you learn every word & listen to it for years to come. I hope you call your local radio station to request the songs & I hope we get to dance to all of these songs together on tours to come. But mostly, I hope it brings you even the tiniest spark of light or joy.⁣
Thank you to everyone who was a part of this project. To express what you mean to me would take a lifetime. Making this has been the best therapy session of my life. ⁣Dear Dear is yours to find now wherever you listen to music. 🕊️ ⁣
