This is one of those years I was intentional about creating great memories no matter how big or small. Most of which were captured in photos and clips. So, I thought of creating 4 themes around my experience and sharing them here.

Theme 1/Part 1: TRANSITIONS AND ADVENTURES.

My experience was full of culture, discovery, and unforgettable sights seeing.

It reminded me of the importance of stepping out of my comfort zone and finding beauty in the unfamiliar.
Every photo here holds a memory of laughter, wonder, and connection.
Grateful for these experiences and the stories they’ve added to my year!

Over the past couple of months at LEAP Africa, I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with digital learning programmes and see what happens beyond simply giving learners access to an online course.

I’ve seen the questions, the drop-offs, the struggles with navigating digital learning spaces, and the different things that can affect whether a learner actually completes a course.

It has made me think about where we are as an EdTech ecosystem in Africa, especially as conversations around AI and the future of learning continue to grow.

And one of those questions has now become a conversation.

Today, I had the opportunity to speak with fresh graduates at
UNILAG through CACYOP fellowship, an opportunity that opened because of the work l’ve been building with “InsideClarity Grad School Prep.” What started as a simple response to my own questions around graduate school application process has grown into a reference point: a community-led initiative where learning, clarity, and shared experience are shaping real conversations and creating unexpected doors.

InsideClarity was never about having “everything figured out.” I didn’t wait until I had moved across the country to study or crossed every milestone before starting. I leaned into community, leveraged people who had gone ahead, hosted conversations, and created space for collective learning. In just a few weeks, that decision has expanded my work, my confidence, and my sense of possibility in ways I could not have planned.

This time last year also marks my final day at a previous role as Lead Product Designer, my send-off, my last speech, and the end of a chapter. Sitting here today, I’m reminded that growth is not always loud, but it is always directional. I’m grateful for how far l’ve come, how much l’ve adapted, and how choosing to begin before feeling “ready” has quietly changed everything. taken in Lagos, Nigeria by @dearfolaa

Last week Sunday, I hosted a graduate program preparatory webinar. You might be wondering, “Does she even have a post graduate experience?”. No I don’t, and maybe I don’t need too, but I have walked the floor of applying for graduate school opportunities, and I’ve learned ample valuable lessons. I believe there are thousands of people like me out there, who doesn’t know how to start or stuck with getting funding, even if they have access to information.

My goal as I embark on the new season of application (no that I didn’t pass the last time, I just couldn’t secure the right funding), is to support people who have the dream but don’t know how to go about it. They don’t have to do it alone.

So, what I did was to create a community of vulnerability, structure and accountability, where I planned to bring people who have walked the path successfully often to share, where I package my experience into structure and system that can make anyone go from clueless to clarity.

I put it to test, and it worked. The feedback didn’t miss. Have I made money from it?, YES, a few 🥳😎 (It’s a proof of concept). However, It’s not about the numbers, it’s about what I’m learning.

How to adapt and improve.
How to show up even when it’s hard.
How to be Delulu, especially when you believe you carry a valuable asset someone can tap into.

There are moments in life when a “no” isn’t rejection, but a direction.

When I applied to speak at TEDx Lagos this year, I believed deeply in my idea on inclusion + learning differences.

But the answer wasn’t “yes.”

Instead of retreating, I chose to serve.

Volunteering with the Event Operations Team gave me opportunity to express my skills in program coordination, people management, keeping a room together, and holding space for meaningful experiences.

And honestly? I needed this perspective.

Because watching the speakers do what they do reminded me:

I don’t lack message…
I simply need to refine the art of delivery.

So I’m not internalizing the “no.”

I’m using it as fuel.

Sometimes God keeps you behind the scenes not to diminish you, but to teach you how to serve the stage you are called to later.

I’m grateful to @tedxlagosng team the executive director @mercyakamo, my team lead Chiaka (I can’t find her handle 🤭) for believing in me, and giving me the opportunity to serve in this capacity alongside other volunteers. The new connections, and the people who made the entire experience rich. 🙏🏾
