What a belter ! Was invited to kevs @mrmspeedshop bbq over the weekend . Even though I’m bit of a social butterfly , don’t shut up and talk to any one . I was a tad nervous . Where it be the drive , or just people seeing the car and having big expectation vs its current status lol . Didn’t take my sidekicks with me so was out of my comfort zone . Likewise moments away from burnout in work . But you know what ! What a great day. Great people ! Great cars ! Music! Good and fun ! Great host . Just like I knew it would be was amazing to put faces to names that I’ve talked to over the years , make new friends . Ohhh and talks of putting on a run way event on next year / in the future some boosted cars . Had the pleasure also , or I could say discomfort of a 700 bhp electric m car ! Experience . Then becoming part of a convoy over some of wales best roads on the way home between a. P1, harrier , gt4 , integrale . Over all an absolutely mental top tear day ! Imagine spending the day at a local speed shop’s barbecue, surrounded by high-performance fast Fords, tuned motors, and some of the best Cosworths and RS Turbos you’ll ever see.

Then, on the drive home, you take a wrong turn…

Luckily, that wrong turn takes you over the Welsh Black Mountains, where you somehow stumble across a convoy of Group B and Group A rally cars — including a Lancia Delta Integrale, Toyota Celica GT4, Mk2 Escort Harrier, and a Colin McRae Edition P1 Subaru Impreza.

And these weren’t just parked up or gently cruising.

They were being driven the way they were meant to be driven. 🔥

Raw engine noise echoing through the Welsh mountains. Turbo lag. Boost. Dump valves. Wastegate chatter. The whole lot.

Honestly… absolute bliss.

This footage probably isn’t the best quality, but that’s part of the charm. It was filmed using a pair of Meta glasses, so what you’re getting is about as raw and unfiltered as it gets.

But WOW — what an experience.

Seeing and hearing cars like these being driven properly, more than 30 years after many of them first rolled off the production line, is something you simply don’t experience every day.

Turn the volume up, sit back, and enjoy the sounds of some true rally legends being unleashed in the Welsh mountains.

These are just not two ordinary Ford escorts . These are two fully hand built Rs ‘s . Engines ! Ecu’s ! Paint and so on . Both myself and @series2zvh2.1 opted not to be sheep ( regardless me coming from wales ) we both broke the mold . Both cars on show at @welshford cars at the castle this year , shot taken by @blackflagphotographywales Carl . Thank you 🙏. Both on “ Boosted 2000 “ stand ! What a honour . Anyhow back to these two unicorns . Both tuned by the amazing father and son @questmotorsport this year to . Delivering some serious numbers and reliability . It was great to get them together ! More so actually even need Blake as we’ve been chatting for good while Now and Blake is a huge supporter of the Yt and actually a member ! . Three weeks ago, I never would have imagined we’d be where we are today.

After sitting on the hard shoulder of the M4 for 16 hours with this car abandoned, it honestly felt like everything was against us. Looking back now, this car has one hell of a story to tell.

Today, we successfully hosted our very first Boosted2000 show stand at the Welsh Ford event in Caldicot, with eight fantastic cars proudly displayed on the top field.

To say I’m blown away would be an understatement. The welcome from Welsh Ford was incredible, and the support and interest from everyone who came over to chat was amazing. Since the event, the messages, tags, comments and inboxes have been non-stop. I genuinely can’t thank you all enough.

This is just the beginning. Today has shown that Boosted2000 is heading in the right direction, and it only makes me even more excited for what’s to come.

A massive thank you to everyone who supported us, to my family for always backing me, and especially to everyone who trusted us enough to put their car on the stand and become part of this journey. People travelled from both sides of the country to be there, and that means more than I can put into words.

I’m genuinely grateful to every single one of you.
