Title: Prince of Broadway
Director: Sean Baker
Genre: Coming-of-age, Neo-Realism, Drama
Release: September 3rd, 2010
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sean Baker has an incredible talent for creating something meaningful with any budget, and Prince of Broadway proves it. It is one of the rawest, most unfiltered, and captivating slice-of-life stories I have seen, turning early 2000s New York City into a living, breathing time capsule. Lucky, an expert salesman in knockoff luxury bags and hot street kicks, suddenly finds his life upended when a baby enters it. His sales drop, his girlfriend considers leaving, and a major payoff scheme goes wrong. As he struggles to adapt to fatherhood, something he never intended, we see his love for the child grow in small, human ways. Buying a crib, a stroller, and clothes for the baby shows Lucky learning to care and trying to do right even when everything seems impossible.
The baby who plays Prince is remarkable. He is not trained and reacts naturally to everything around him, yet every laugh, cry, and even repeating Lucky’s favorite phrase “aight” fits perfectly in the scenes. It feels like watching a real actor, but it is pure authenticity. The film captures real conflicts too. Arguments and fights erupt naturally, awkward and tense, making every emotional moment feel lived-in. Constant close-up shots trap you in the characters’ space, showing exhaustion, hesitation, and tenderness in a way that feels entirely real. Non-actors and largely improvised dialogue add to the raw, believable energy and make Lucky’s growing connection to the child feel fully earned.
The story is layered beyond Lucky and Prince. The baby’s mother faces her own struggles and guilt, and Lucky’s boss confronts a failing marriage and finds inspiration in Prince to consider starting a family. By the time the ambiguous ending arrives, the growth of Lucky and everyone around him feels earned. The film leaves the audience reflecting on family, responsibility, and human connection. It is rare to see a movie that feels this alive, unfiltered, and unforgettable
Title: Marty Supreme
Director: Josh Safdie
Genre: Sports Comedy-Drama
Released: December 25th. 2025
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

 When a film leaves you speechless long after the credits roll while also turning you into a babbling baffoon once you finally process what you just watched, it’s rare and incredibly rewarding. Josh Safdie and Timothée Chalamet set a high fucking bar with the generational promotional run this movie was on, but they dreamed big and succeeded, making it worth every damn penny and every second of my attention.

What we’re given is a rollercoaster ride for the ages, a show-stopping and complete package of a film filled with praise-worthy performances across the board. An already astounding script and story are cranked up several notches through sheer will, audacity, and commitment from everyone involved. The film moves with constant tension and anxiety-induced joy, yet somehow remains genuinely funny even when it goes fully inappropriate, because it’s executed with total control.

Marty Mouser moves through life with relentless confidence, and you’re never quite sure whether his journey will end in triumph or tragedy, which keeps you glued to the screen the entire time. His pursuit of his ultimate desire, dragging anyone within reach along with him no matter the cost, is both frustrating and captivating. You shouldn’t root for him, yet you can’t deny his resilience or his demand for respect when everyone around him doubts his capabilities.

This is the kind of movie that makes you want to see it again, not to understand it better, but to take another round trip. The exhilarating soundtrack pulls you even deeper into the experience, acting as the final piece of a creatively cinematic puzzle. What surprised me most is how fully Josh Safdie was able to reinvent the wheel from what I once considered his and Benny Safdie’s masterpiece, Uncut Gems. Marty Supreme feels like a landmark film that will change the trajectory of both film and marketing, and it deserves to be staring back at us from the cover of a Wheaties box for eternity.

Title: Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Foul
Directors: Merlin Crossingham, Nick Park
Genre: Animation/Adventure/Comedy
Released: December 18th, 2024
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It’s honestly remarkable how 16 years can pass, yet the humor and magic of the Wallace & Gromit franchise remain as fresh and delightful as ever. Vengeance Most Fowl marks the triumphant return of the dynamic duo, Wallace & Gromit, alongside some beloved friends, new faces, and an old foe, all gathered in a brilliantly crafted stop-motion adventure.
The comedy is a perfect mix of cheesy (pun intended) and clever gags, sprinkled with references that will leave viewers in a pattern of laughter. From visual puns to witty dialogue, it’s a delightful experience for fans of all ages. Yet beneath the humor lies a heartwarming story, centering on the sweet, enduring bond between a man and his best friend. It’s a relationship that continues to shine, and the dynamic between Wallace and Gromit feels as strong and genuine as ever. Which showcase the franchise’s signature blend of humor and heart.
The heart and soul poured into this project are undeniable. The filmmakers honor the spirit of the series while delivering something clever and refreshing. The visuals are stunning, thanks to modern technology, which enhances the meticulous craftsmanship of stop-motion. The result is a nostalgic yet contemporary aesthetic that feels both familiar and new.
Overall, this new addition to the franchise leaves you craving more. It not only delivers laughs and heartfelt moments but also offers a subtle reflection on humanities growing dependence on technology. It’s proof that the duo can do no wrong in amusing audiences, no matter the challenges they face—or hilariously create for themselves. Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl is a true testament to the timeless charm of this iconic series and a brilliant example of storytelling at its finest.
Title: The Brutalist
Director: Brady Corbet
Genre: Drama/History
Released: December 20th, 2024
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

A film that leaves you reflecting deeply rather than confused, The Brutalist feels like a 1960s-70s gem preserved in a time capsule. It captures old America’s pursuit of the American Dream while exposing its harsh realities.

The story follows cycles of triumph and heartbreak as the protagonist fights to belong in a world that feels alien. His victories inspire, but his setbacks remind us how fragile dreams can be. With a haunting score and stunning cinematography, it’s hard to believe this $10 million film feels like a $100 million production.

The performances are unforgettable, with Adrien Brody delivering one of the decade’s best portrayals. The film resonates deeply with creatives, capturing the struggle of bringing ideas to life amidst doubt and external obstacles, while also igniting a fire in all viewers to pursue their dreams.

Though slow-paced and heavy at times, the rewards are profound. The Brutalist is a haunting exploration of art, ambition, and the resilience of the human spirit.

Title: Pet Sounds
Artist: The Beach Boys
Tracks: 14
Genre: Pop/Rock
Release: June 16, 1966
Rating: 10/10
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Pet Sounds is an album that stands the test of time as one of the greatest if not the greatest album of all time. It is an album that was so ahead of its time that when it was first released it wasn’t that successful. But is now loved by many no matter the generation and no matter the music taste.  Yet this was for a good reason as it was a complete 180 degree turn from the sound people were used to hearing from the Beach Boys. They went from dominating charts with their surfer rock hits to changing and pushing the boundaries of instrumentals with pop rock. This all thanks to the brilliant mind of one Brain Wilson a man who saw a vision and was committed to bringing to life. With this vision he shocked those around him as he is making sounds that people didn’t think was possible almost to the point of confusion. But because of the confidence Brian had in this project they stuck with him and saw just how brilliant of composer he was. He brought in the famous wrecking crew, a famous collective of Los Angeles musicians to help create a beauty collection of sounds that will still amaze people to this day.
The album contains a collection that cycles between love songs, soulful songs, painful blasters, and upbeat instrumentals. Something nobody at the time was prepared for. It is honestly a trip to listen to with its personal and impactful lyrics. Brian himself has stated that this album is letter to God as he is leaving all his emotions and thoughts out on these tracks. Overall, this album is one of the purest forms of music you can listen and to think this was made back in 1966. It still holds a massive impact today as it was a steppingstone towards the music we listen to today. I continuously find myself going back to this album and falling in love with it even more after every listen. Seeing how relatable these tracks and lyrics are. Feeling a deep connection towards the pain, happiness, and confusion that Brian is expressing countlessly through each track.
After three long years of anticipation, disappointment, and ordering the number one with the lemonade at chick fil a. It is finally safe to say that the predecessor of Jesus is King is here at last. Donda as you may all know was originally supposed to release around September of last year. It was no surprise to us that release day missed and would have a similar fate to the infamous Yandhi album. Yet the tides have changed as it seems that Kanye is officially in the yeezy season. With him announcing a stadium sized listening party, of course this being the sequel to his MSG Life of Pablo listening party. It is also important to mention the constant post on Instagram that Kanye has been posting all pointing towards the album and lastly the Nike commercial. That’s right the king of adidas himself posted a snippet of his new album in a Nike commercial. Regardless I am truly excited to hear this new creation as its always great to hear a new project. When it comes to the sound from what we have heard so far this seems to be Jesus is King truly mixed in with Yeezus and Yandhi. Which I believe is a sound he has been trying to perfect and it seems that he has finally done it. Lastly to celebrate such a wonderful occasion in music I decided to look back through Kanye’s projects which of course have changed throughout in all aspects. Then picking my favorites of each which for me highlight his various eras. ITS DONDA SEASON by @deathfidelity
Album: Songs In The Key of Life
Artist: Stevie Wonder
Tracks: 21
Genres: R&B, Progressive Soul,
Avant-Pop
Released: September 28, 1976
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

From the very beginning you can tell you’re in for something special. We are introduced with an angelic opening to this masterpiece of an album, and it doesn’t dip once after that. The 21-track filled album presents nothing but pure heart and soul in each of its songs. This was in the works for two years, going through serval pushbacks, reworks and expansions. Yet you can tell that these actions were committed in order to create a gem of an album. Stevie shed blood, sweat and tears to release this tour de force as he produce, arranged, wrote and composed everything you listen to within the album. Throughout the album Stevie presents us themes of love, loss, joy, pain, birth and death. It is a very versatile album as you can see, full of heart hitting lyrics and instrumentals that create a scene of their own. This album is literally one big chaos painting due to it’s different sounds and emotions but that what gives its beauty.

This album has tremendous replay value as these songs have an infante lifespan to them due to how lively and unforgettable they are. Every new listen gave me a new song to love and adore making me fall in the love with the album even more. The only flaw being which I wouldn’t really considering a flaw here because the album is too rich to be discredited is that there really isn’t a story or focus when it comes to how the tracks are aligned. Still this no problem considering that it is still full of songs that can fit any mood.

Album: Whole Lotta Red
Artist: Playboi Carti
Tracks: 24
Genre: Hip-Hop/Trap/Mumble Rap
Released: December 25. 2020
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After two long years full of leaks, speculation, rumors and anticipation we finally got a new full length Playboi Carti project. It’s important to start off by saying that this is something completely different from we expected to receive, yet this is not a negative. What Carti has presented us with is a new sound, a  new era of music. As crazy as this may sound Carti is trying to break the barrier and make a new world in Rap just like the legends before him have tried. This is one of the main reasons behind this divide in the fanbase and audience in general. Some expected the same sound of Die Lit and Self-Titled so in the end they are in this surprised and confused state at the moment. This is an album that you can experience in two ways, understanding it right away or one that you have given time and thought into to really see the work being done here.
	Regardless Carti has really embraced this vampiric persona with a mix of Rockstar fantasy on this project. With these bright and banging beats packed all together that seems to have no sense of direction, but it works. It’s great to see Carti bringing this new “voice” to the scene to add to his arsenal. That being this almost raspy, but aggressive voice that really has this Rockstar sense to it. In addition this album is filled with a lot of producers who all do their job to bring something new into Carti’s world and he knows exactly how to fit in these. We get some old sounds and some new ones, all of them being enjoyable and memorable as they bang on your speakers. Lyrically we have this Carti doing several names drops and references to his new born and the wealth he has. As well as the vamp persona he now claims. Overall this project is a 24 track long roller-coaster and the dawn of a new age.
