I love there is no humidity after the rain. I welcome Fall with full arms and a joyful heart for the season of crisp air, peaceful walks, campfires, and sitting outside without those darn mosquitoes sucking my blood! 🧡🍁🍂🎃

It always starts the weekend off right when you get to have lunch with a friend who you don’t get to see often enough!

We share our type 1 diabetes and also being dietitians and diabetes educators. We love to share our knowledge and tips and tricks to navigate something that we’ve both lived with for many years. But, we both can see hope in the horizon with the stem cell research being done at University of Chicago! 🙌

And, if you’ve never tried Catalina Kitchen and Bar off Caswell Rd. It’s a must to try! They had so many salads and protein bowls that looked delicious!

Check your meds and supplements!

I can sometimes be too trusting. I trust that the dose is what it’s suppose to be, but we are all human and make mistakes.

I have been struggling with my hormones, and I could tell something was off (not the first time for the past few years- thank you menopause and now post menopause!!). So my hormone provider increased my estrogen after I completed the Dutch study. Then someone in the office who was covering for my provider said she would also increase my progesterone to help balance me. It was suppose to be 25mg more than my usual dose.

I then started pouring sweet when I woke up, blood sugars spiking after safe meals that always work, puffy face and weight gain that doesn’t make sense, blurry vision, taking a lot of naps, and anxious and irritable. I knew something wasn’t right.

I casually looked down at the new progesterone bottle, and it said to take 1-2 pills in addition to my 150 mg progesterone pill. I thought that was weird when it was just suppose to be 25 mg extra. Then I looked further down, and each pill was 100mg!! So I’ve been taking 250-350 mg nightly when I was suppose to be taking 200 mg. That’s way more than I was suppose to be taking.

I know this was a long read, but please check your bottles to make sure they are the correct dose for you! My provider said it was their mistake vs the compounding pharmacy who mailed them to me. This has caused so many horrible side effects to my body, and I should have caught this error. Ugh, ugh and ugh! by @debbie_geraci1

WARNING: Some knew about the red light on cars, but not Dialing 911.
An UNMARKED police car pulled up behind her and put his lights on. Lauren's parents have always told her to never pull over for an unmarked car on the side of the road, but rather to wait until they get to a gas station, etc.

Lauren had actually listened to her parents advice, and promptly called, 911 on her cell phone to tell the police dispatcher that she would not pull over right away. She proceeded to tell the dispatcher that there was an unmarked police car with a flashing red light on his rooftop behind her. The dispatcher checked to see if there were police cars where she was and there weren't, and he told her to keep driving, remain calm and that he had back up already on the way.

Ten minutes later 4 cop cars surrounded her and the unmarked car behind her. One policeman went to her side and the others surrounded the car behind. They pulled the guy from the car and tackled him to the ground. The man was a convicted rapist and wanted for other crimes.
I never knew about the 911 Cell Phone feature. I tried it on my AT&T phone & it said, "Dialing Emergency Number."
Especially for a woman alone in a car, you should not pull over for an unmarked car. Apparently police have to respect your right to keep going on to a safe place.

*Speaking to a service representative at Bell Mobility confirmed that 911was a direct link to State trooper info. So, now it's your turn to let your friends know about "Dialing, 911"

You may want to send this to every Man, Woman & Youngster you know; it may well save a life.

This applies to ALL 50 states

These two crack me up! Ollie is constantly trying to be the alpha male even though Tiger has been around much longer. Now Ollie is cuddled up to him like they’re best friends. Or, Ollie is just trying to be on his favorite cushion. 🤣 🤷‍♀️

I am embarrassed to say I had no idea you needed to clean the rubber thing in the washing machine until I saw an add.

My clean clothes started to smell moldy, and I absolutely hate that smell. But, I could not figure out why it was happening. I was already cleaning the rubber that I could see, and I was also making sure to take them out of the washing machine as soon as possible. I would also leave the door open a little after using it. But, I had no clue there was another rubber part that I couldn't see unless I pulled the rubber out. GROSS!

Does anyone else clean this? I used white vinegar and some dish soap. As you can see I added WAY too much soap, but it only leaked a little. 😬 It made it easier to remove the junk. And, my clothes are back to smelling clean thank goodness!

We were finally able to celebrate Isabella’s 20th birthday tonight at Emmet’s. We love the atmosphere, and the food is always delicious. Their GF flatbread was absolutely AMAZING.

This is your reminder to love hard daily, and never let them guess how much they mean to you!

My mom got hit coming home when a sweet gentleman missed a stop sign. He apologized and said it was his fault. None of us are perfect, and he needs grace right now because I can imagine how I would feel if I did the same thing.

My mom has some bruising and soreness, but I’m thanking God He protected her. And, my mom knows He was doing just that! She woke up the next morning to a light focused on a picture of my dad. She said it was like someone was putting a flashlight right on his face. I’m in tears just thinking how she must have felt seeing Him shining a light on my dad letting her know he’s near. 🙌🙌🙌

So, hold your loved ones tight, and remember to stop what you’re doing to let them know how much you love them!! by @debbie_geraci1
