Buena noticia!! I’m officially a Broadway producer on this dream project. Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE ❤️ Cuban music. From my Miami days of presenting fabulous Cuban artists at my club Starfish - everyone from @issacdelgadoofficial and @chuchovaldesmusic to many of the original members of BVSC. The great Barbarito Torres and Pío Leyva to name a few. I was also lucky enough to be at the original concert at Carnegie Hall and it was an unforgettable night. That moment brought me full circle to this magical time where the story of these talented musicians will unfold for lucky Broadway audiences. I’m also especially honored to be reunited with my hermanito the one and only Juan De Marcos Gonzalez who is the heart and soul of BVSC. My mom Sonia passed away 2 weeks ago. I’m still wrapping my head around it. She was a healthy fit 88 year young unique woman who lived life to the fullest!! Married to my dad for 69 years and they traveled the world together. She was the first person I knew who had email ( could spend hours in an Apple Store)!! She adored hanging out with my friends and going to parties, Broadway shows and just always had lots of fun. Sonia was crazy about dogs - especially our Tongo our beloved Shih Tzu. She loved her garden, was an amazing cook and taught my friends how to make armenian dishes. Her devotion to dad and I and an entire gang of cousins, aunts, uncles, friends and neighbors is her most important legacy….❤️❤️❤️❤️ by @debbieohanian

There are parties and there are PARTIES!! Arel and his team did a spectacular job for Mario’s birthday 🎂/graduation from Harvard! I love the effort everyone made in following theme. Tonight I witnessed a most extraordinary dance piece at the Kirk Douglas Theater in Culver City. INTERIOR DESIGN was created by Laura Karlin and SO beautifully performed by @marcopalomino and @hi_o_sun
Marco and I met each other ten years ago in Havana and I’m thrilled he’s landed in Los Angeles and we get to spend time together. His growth as a dancer and choreographer is beautiful to see and I know he’s destined for big things. Congrats to Invertigo Dance Theatre for such innovative work ❤️❤️❤️ taken in Kirk Douglas Theatre by @debbieohanian
