This season of my life is called: Doing it scared, but doing it anyway. Over the last 15 months, I’ve been building @guisemedia and @thetolulopeojo, and I don’t think I fully understood how much that journey would change me. At my previous workplaces, I struggled to speak in front of the camera. Not because I didn’t have anything to say or because I was shy, but because I was terrified I’d stumble over my words. Growing up, people always told me I spoke too fast, and somewhere along the way, I started believing that meant I shouldn’t speak at all. Fast forward to today, I’ve “accidentally” hosted three events lol, filmed videos, pitched ideas I’d once have been too nervous to share, and continued showing up even when I didn’t feel completely ready. Turns out, confidence didn’t come first. Showing up did. Anyway, back to these photos. 🥹 They were taken at one of the events I recently hosted for @guisemedia client, @graziahouse , and looking at them reminds me just how far I’ve come. Oh, and one more thing... Guise Media turns one soon. 🥹❤️ I genuinely can’t believe we’re already here. My heart is so full. God has been incredibly good to me. 🥹 In 2023, I saw a friend’s brand highlight and quietly told God, “One day.” I never imagined that He would answer that prayer in one year. And that it would even be in videography LOL I’m deeply grateful to everyone who put me on, cheered me on, and mentioned my name in the right rooms. None of this would have been possible without you. An even bigger thank you to every person and every brand that trusted this startup with their vision. That trust means everything to me. Y’all thought I was done? 🤭 The past week has been filled with so much laughter, a few emotional moments (hard girl no dey cry 😅), jumping, dancing, and pure gratitude. I’m still in awe of the beautiful people God has surrounded me with. This year, I’ve received more gifts, read more notes, and felt more love than I ever have in my life. It’s such a beautiful thing to get your flowers while you’re still here — and I don’t take it for granted. Still can’t believe I got to host the @hollyland.mea workshop again for the second time! 🥹✨ This one hit different. Standing in front of a room full of incredible creators, sharing what I’ve learned as a marketing professional and filmmaker, reminded me just how far I’ve come. 10 months ago, I was just figuring out how to tell stories through my lens — and now I’m teaching others how to craft theirs. Even more surreal knowing I was the youngest speaker in the room. 😭❤️ It’s been a journey of faith, growth, and crazyyyyy moments.😅 Moments like this remind me that consistency really does pay off.
