After decades in ministry… do I STILL need to grow?

ABSOLUTELY! 🙌🏼

One thing I’ve learned over the years is that you NEVER outgrow your need to grow. 🌱

You can be seasoned and still be a student.

You can spend years pouring into others and STILL need someone pouring into you.

The longer I lead, the more I realize how much I still have to learn.

✨ Never allow your EXPERIENCE to replace your TEACHABILITY. ✨

Stay willing to listen 👂🏼
Stay willing to learn 📕
Stay willing to be challenged 💪🏻
Stay willing to GROW.🌱

So grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Designed for Life Women’s Mentorship with Pastor Debbie Lindell and Pastor Savannah! ❤️

What a gift to learn from their leadership, glean from their wisdom, and be surrounded by incredible women who are passionate about growing in their faith and calling!

We are ALL works in progress, and I pray I never reach a place where I think I’ve arrived.

🙏🏼 MY PRAYER:

Lord, keep me HUNGRY.
Keep me HUMBLE.
Keep me HOLY.

Because God isn’t finished with any of us yet!

For the next two Sundays at James River Church, we will be in a special two-week series called “Getting Ready for the Future”.

We will be talking about what’s ahead for the church, including the pastoral leadership transition coming up on March 7, 2027.

• This Sunday, September 27 - Ps @jlindell will be speaking
• On Sunday, October 4 - Ps @davidlindell & Ps @brandonlindell will be speaking together

We believe that these two Sundays will be significant in the life of the church and we want you to make plans to be in the room for both weeks!

So thankful for Ben and Havilah Cunnington! It was such a joy having them with us this weekend.
