BLIZZCON 2026! And it was my first one as officially a part of the Blizzard family (I voice an eagle Loa named Akil’zon in WOW Midnight).

I got to proudly cheer on @darindepaulofficial as he hosted Community Night, played Daggerheart with fellow @playoverwatch cast members @matthewmercervo @sweeetanj @ravassa and @ruby_rust and moderate the @playdiablo Voice Actor panel. It was a full weekend of cosplay, reuniting with friends and celebrating all things @blizzard.

60 years ago @startrek premiered on TV. I was 8 years old and watched every single episode. I went to the first Star Trek conventions in New York as a teenager, and watched every Star Trek series that came afterwards. I still love the adventure, the crew members and the myriad planets they're from, and, above all, their empathy. It's been a great ride, and I'm so happy I got to enjoy every bit of it. Live Long and Prosper!!!

It gives me pause to learn of the passing of one of the people I looked up to as a young woman growing up in the 1960s and 1970s. Her work and the work of everyone in the women's movement made it possible for my generation of young women and every generation afterwards to take that torch and run with it. I will be forever grateful. RIP Gloria Steinem. And, thank you.

What a week for losses! The Theater Community has lost Anna Louizos, who designed the iconic set for IN THE HEIGHTS. I remember walking into the Baryshnikov Center to see the off-Broadway production and tears immediately springing to my eyes when I saw the bodega and the George Washington Bridge. As a Nuyorican from Spanish Harlem, it showed the world the community I had grown up in. Ten years later, Anna visited the production of IN THE HEIGHTS I was doing at the Ordway (my 4th production as Abuela Claudia) and talked to us about her design. She was so kind and generous. We all adored her. Rest in peace, Anna. I know you are up there with the angels making heaven even more beautiful Alabanza.

The last two weeks were a whirlwind of work, community, and play. Working on THE DEBUTANTES and seeing two other new musicals being birthed was absolute joy. I loved every second of it. Thank you @newportnewworks for inviting me to be a part of something exciting and beautiful. And THANK YOU @samcreatesdrama and @elizarandallmusic for entrusting me with the gift that is Mrs. Balance!
