Well lots of sewing but 3 finished items
A tablecloth sized banner celebrating Jesus for the 24/7 prayer room
2 vernon blouses
1 in silk organza with French seams for frocktails finished on the train
and the 2 nd part of a hack to remake a blouse to be a triple dipping challenge make in stunning Liberty fabric!

This beautiful Liberty tana lawn was purchased in 2020 to be the Liberty Thea boho blouse....my first go was a bit of a disaster so its waited patiently!
This time I used the Cashmerette Vernon shirt base and grafted on the sleeve from the Vogue/Liberty patterm
I'm trying to show you the facing that I added to the inside for when its worn open! 🤪

You'll have to wait for Saturday to see me in it but this set is my 2nd (?and 3rd) #sewbold2026 entry!
Thanks to Becki @whatbecsews for this super challenge !

This is a pattern I nearly didnt buy because those little 'you're too old' whispers were occurring.
I have managed to successfully bury them in the big fabric box with all the wool fabrics soooo ........

Made from a cotton satin with a bit of stretch from deeeeeep stash and some contrast bias trim for the hem.

Thursday we (@ruthcreates and I) went exploring to Sunnybankmills (home of the Great British Sewing Bee)
I ve been lots of times because it has fabric and wool, a crafty reuse centre called SCRAP Leeds ooo and super classes in all sorts of wonderful things.
I was restrained in purchases (probably coz the fabric shop was shut) and just bought felt and card for our next Prayer room project!

This is my phase 1 tester version tie dyed 😁
Received pattern for free for providing fit test pics to maker.
Love this dress !!
This is bias hemmed rather than faced because its a toile and I used all my facric
Fabric is from #poundfabrics mercerized cotton took the dylon dye really well!
