POV: you get your Probably Smut subscription and the universe decides to personally reward you. 🖤

DON’T SAY MAFIA?! IN MY BOX?!?!

One of my favorite authors @crjaneauthor + a book I already love = me absolutely losing my shit. 😭🖤

Was I calm about it? No.
Did I immediately need to show everyone? Obviously.
Do I have too many books already? That sounds like none of your business. 😂

@probablysmut understood the assignment. 🔥

Meeting author @authorwrennaking at @romanceouteast was so amazing! I also got a preview of the audiobook and it was 🔥🔥

Moniker is a dark romance and the tropes are opposites attract, forbidden romance, secret identity, AND a voice kink! 🥵

Release Day!! 🥵🔥

Don’t Say Mafia by @crjaneauthor went beyond anything I was hoping for! I seriously could not put this book down!

Jagger and his brother Jace are the kind of men who, when they fall for their FMCs, they fall HARD. And honestly? I was here for every second of it.

Jagger is a man who doesn’t understand the word no, and the second he meets Eden, he knows he wants her, obstacles and all. Eden feels that instant pull toward Jagger too, but there’s one big problem: she's married.

Her marriage is far from happy, but Eden is still holding onto hope that her husband will make the changes she needs and that they can somehow get back to the way things used to be. Then Jagger comes along and makes resisting him nearly impossible.

The chemistry, the tension, the forbidden attraction… I was hooked. This is an instant add to TBR NOW!!

Thank you @crjaneauthor for always writing the perfect balance of morally gray yet golden retriever MMC's!

Night Watcher by Daphne Woolsoncroft

This was such an amazing Horror book. "Him aka "The Hiding Man" is the Boogeyman we all feared and still do. Author @daphne.woolsoncroft brought the angst, plot twists and needing to know that kept me on my toes. I had a hard time putting the book down to go to sleep because I needed to know! I read this book in 24 hours! This book has vibes from the original movie"When a Stranger Calls vibes." A must add to your TBR!! If you haven't watched the movie you absolutely should! Also, did you know the author co- hosts on a true crime podcast?! Make sure to check her out!

Blurb:

After an encounter with a notorious serial killer in the Pacific Northwest as a child, Nola has grown up and tried her best to forget her traumatizing night with the Hiding Man. She installed security cameras outside her Oregon home, never spoke of her experience, and now hosts Night Watch, a popular radio call-in show her semi-famous father used to run.

When coincidences lead Nola to believe that she is being stalked, and a caller on Night Watch has a live incident with an intruder in the caller's home—the description of whom is chillingly familiar—Nola is convinced that the killer has resurfaced and is coming for her.

With a mysterious next door neighbor lurking in the shadows, more people getting hurt, the police not taking her concerns seriously, and evidence pointing toward her own father, Nola decides to become, like her listeners, a Night Watcher herself, and uncover the monster behind the Hiding Man's mask.

QOTD: Do you read a book based on the cover?

The Pucking Wrong Number by @crjaneauthor

This is a dark hockey romance and all it takes is texting the wrong number to find his love and obsession. Lincoln is the morally grey, golden retriever we all dream about! He falls first and he falls hard whether Monroe is ready or not!

If you haven't read this series, you are missing out!

I am a fan of C.R. Jane! I have yet to read a book she wrote that I haven't absolutely loved!

I read The Deal before watching the TV series and ABSOLUTELY loved it! Garrett and Hannah are some of my favs! Watching them had me on my toes and so giddy! Garrett is adorable and arrogant ( in the best way 😁.)

Tell me, who's your favorite Briar boy? 👀
🏒 Garrett
🏒 Logan
🏒 Dean
🏒 Tucker

And are you reading the books first or watching the show first?

I've been a little quiet over here, but I'm turning the page and coming back. 📚✨

If you're into romance, dark romance, romantasy, thrillers, and horror, you're in the right place.

Expect book reviews, recommendations, reading updates, favorite characters, bookish chats, and plenty of books added to your TBR. 🤍

Thank you for sticking around while I took a break. I'm excited to reconnect with this amazing book community and share all the books I've been reading.

What genre are you reading right now? 👇📖
