On the evening of September 16, 2025, just ahead of the formal state visit of U.S. President Donald Trump to the United Kingdom, protesters projected images of Trump alongside convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein onto the walls of Windsor Castle. Four people were arrested on suspicion of “malicious communications” over what police described as an “unauthorised projection.”

Nepal is witnessing a seismic moment—one driven by its youth.

A sweeping social media ban ignited the Gen Z movement, as thousands rose to denounce corruption, censorship, and stagnant governance. What began as digital dissent became physical in the streets: buildings burned, voices clashed with armed forces, and young lives paid the price.

Deaths: At least 19 protesters, multiple security officials killed, and hundreds injured.

Political fallout: Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli resigned, yet unrest continues.

Military intervention: Soldiers maintain control in Kathmandu; curfews are in place.

Social media restored: The platforms have been reinstated in response to protesters’ demands—but the underlying crisis remains unresolved.

These protests aren’t just about apps or screens—they reflect a deeper generational rejection of complacent governance and a demand for transparency and reform.

In the midst of negotiations aimed at stopping the bloodshed in Gaza, Israeli jets struck in Doha, targeting Hamas leadership—but killing at least one child and a Qatari security officer instead.

Qatar’s role as a mediator has been tragically overshadowed by flames and global outcry. The UN called it a breach of sovereignty. Russia labeled it a violation of international law. The U.S., pushed into an uncomfortable corner, called it “unfortunate.”

Israel stands by the action, citing national security—but at the cost of trust, diplomacy, and lives.

In the race to halt war, peace should not be collateral.

🕊️ 𝐆𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐨 𝐀𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐢 (1934–2025)

Today, the world of fashion mourns the loss of one of its greatest visionaries. Giorgio Armani, the Italian designer who redefined elegance for over half a century, has passed away at the age of 91.

According to reports, Armani died peacefully at home, surrounded by his loved ones. His absence from June’s Milan Fashion Week — the first in decades — had already sparked concern, and his passing comes just as his empire was preparing to celebrate its 50th anniversary.

Armani was more than a designer — he was a revolution.
He gave the world the power suit, liberating women from stiff tailoring and introducing a new language of confidence. His minimalist, refined style became a global signature, expanding into Emporio Armani, Armani Exchange, Giorgio Armani Privé, and even hotels, fragrances, and home décor. His influence stretched beyond the runway, touching Hollywood red carpets, boardrooms, and everyday lives.

The Armani Group shared in its official statement:
“With infinite sorrow, the Armani Group announces the passing of its creator, founder, and tireless driving force: Giorgio Armani.”

This weekend, a funeral chamber will be held in Milan (Sept 6–7) to honor his memory, followed by a private burial. Across the fashion world, tributes are pouring in — remembering Armani as both a fearless innovator and a timeless symbol of Italian grace.

Spain Grapples with Devastating Flash Floods

Spain is facing one of its worst flood crises in decades, with the southeastern regions of Valencia and Murcia experiencing unprecedented rainfall since Tuesday. A year's worth of rain fell in mere hours, causing widespread destruction and claiming at least 200 lives, with many more feared missing. Emergency services are continuing search and rescue operations amid hopes that more survivors can still be saved.

In Valencia, torrential rains overwhelmed rivers, turning streets into rivers of mud, washing away cars, and damaging infrastructure. Utiel and Paiporta, among the hardest-hit towns, have witnessed heartbreaking scenes of residents scrambling to protect their homes and recover belongings. One local described the floodwaters breaching doors and surging through kitchens with unstoppable force. In response, over 1,700 military personnel have been deployed to assist rescue efforts, with helicopters mobilized to reach the most isolated areas.

The flooding also caused significant disruptions in transport, including the derailment of a high-speed train near Malaga, though thankfully, no casualties were reported. Authorities are working around the clock to coordinate relief efforts, while Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez and King Felipe VI have expressed their condolences and pledged full governmental support for recovery operations.

Meteorologists link this disaster to intensifying climate patterns, warning that such events are likely to become more frequent. In light of the crisis, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen emphasized the urgency of addressing climate change and supporting affected nations across Europe.

Twenty-nine children could be facing the death penalty in Nigeria after they were arraigned Friday for participating in a protest against the country’s record cost-of-living crisis.

Four collapsed in court due to pressure and exhaustion.

Frustration over the cost-of-living crisis has led to several mass protests in recent months. In August, at least 20 people were shot dead and hundreds more were arrested at a protest demanding better opportunities and jobs for young people.

According to the charge sheet, the minors only aged from 14 to 17 years old.

76 protesters were charged with 10 felony counts, including treason, destruction of public property, and disturbance, according to the charge sheet seen by The Associated Press.

Akintayo Balogun, a private lawyer based in Abuja, said the Child Rights Act does not allow any child to be subject to criminal proceedings and sentenced to death.

The court eventually granted 10 million naira ($5,900) bail to each the defendants and imposed stringent conditions they are yet to meet.

The latest escalation between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon has involved a series of deadly attacks. Recently, Israel has been blamed for bombing Hezbollah members' communication devices, including pagers and walkie-talkies, which killed at least 37 people, including civilians.

Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has vowed retaliation, intensifying cross-border strikes. Israel, in turn, has launched airstrikes on Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon. Both sides continue daily exchanges, with fears of a larger conflict escalating as Israel moves more troops to the northern border.

An estimated 750,000 Israelis have taken to the streets in one of Israel’s biggest-ever protests to date, they demanded that the government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu strike a deal to free remaining captives in Gaza.

In early September 2024, large-scale protests erupted in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and other parts of Israel, driven by increasing public pressure to secure the release of Israeli hostages held by Hamas. The protests were sparked after the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) recovered the bodies of several hostages from Gaza, intensifying fears for those still held captive. Demonstrators are calling for a negotiated deal to free the remaining hostages, rather than relying solely on military efforts.

Many protesters feel that continued military operations put hostages at greater risk, with reports that several were killed just before being rescued. Meanwhile, some right-wing groups counter-protested, advocating for the military to continue its offensive against Hamas rather than seek a ceasefire.

These protests highlight the deep divisions in Israeli society over how best to resolve the ongoing conflict with Hamas and secure the release of hostages. Public pressure on the government continues to grow, with protesters demanding immediate action to prevent further deaths.
