We all have heaps of paper bags sitting around, I'm sure .
When I'm not sure what to paint, I get out a bag, select about 3 colours
and paint.
It does help to paint a bunch of bags with gesso so they are ready for you!
It also brings the element of handmade presentation to any gift.

Finally I managed to upload some videos to my YouTube channel!
I had a storage problem that was put in the "too hard" basket for a while! 🤦🏻‍♀️😂
So today, we celebrate 🥳 I finally did it 😂

I have already uploaded both parts 😊

So, Lucinda at work, lost her beautiful kelpie, Lily, last year.

That led to 5 of us creating a portrait of Lily for her birthday this year.

We all used different mediums and our styles are all so different!

I've been immersed in life and not posting! 😀
In July, it was my birthday , and one of the things I did was go to @metartworld.com.au
Such a cool place to visit. Aside from the amazing sculptures, they have an illusions space which was incredible as well as tripping!
I loved the 9D cinematic experience - I laughed the entire way. Could have been nerves but either way, was good medicine.

What is another good adventure to go on? Let me know your recommendations...

I've been quietly moving through life. Removing obligations, removing guilt, removing fear.
I'm a work in progress, as we all are. I've had so many epiphanies of late, which is amazing.

So I joined a beautiful pastel community run by pastel artist Dawn vander Stoep. I love her way of being and her
Way of creating. These little art works are from one of her classes.

I must admit, I'm not brilliant at following workshops! I tend to half listen, fast forward and do my own thing!
I think my biggest take from this class was how to break up the landscape and bring more magic into a landscape.

Turning an unwanted painting into something I'm liking more!
I used acrylic pens for the bird (a hoopoe) . Every time I looked at it I thought of a croissant 😂
So, I decided to use @coates_charcoal powder on top and then finish off with Kuretake fluid graphite.
It took me on a journey which I really enjoyed.
Have you ever tried charcoal powder?
It can give a different look. I'm thinking more experimenting is required!

So good to connect back to pan pastels .
This Galah is created on A4 Colourfix pastel paper.

What I really like about pan pastels is the application, using sponges. It's so gentle and delicate.
Most unlike me and so is a great learning curve in patience and gentle application. 😄

Mystic chick OR Chicken with gold earring 😂

I love humour and art- so much fun to create.
This is created using Copic Acrea paint markers on A4 mixed media paper.
My best is the side eye !

I've been creating so much lately, I've just not been keeping up with posting. I might get to it, at some stage 😊💕

Created this scribble art secretary bird on A4 mixed media paper.
Once again using the new Copic Acrea markers .
The one thing that I really like about these is the ease of using something on top of them. So, I used some coloured pencil on some parts - it went on really smoothly.
When layering with these, they definitely take more layers than other acrylic markers I've used.

Oh how I love scribble art!!
It always makes me smile, and combined with wacky birds- keeps me laughing 😂

I think the cassowary and owl are the most unhinged 🤣

This was my first play with the Copic Acrea pens. These are acrylic based, with quite a fine nib. You need to pump them to get the paint down.
I did find that I needed to give lots of pump during the drawings as the paint didnt just flow down.

I really enjoyed the paint itself though.
I have done another painting on different paper, so I'll share that one tomorrow, with other results 😊

Recently I visited Millers Homestead to see the art exhibition by my friend, Suzanne Randles.
@suzanne_elstyn_art

I honestly love her creativity - it's such an inspiring exhibition.
I went around 9.30, so before any activities - it was peaceful and I could take my time 😊

If you get a mo, I'd recommend a wander , check out the stunning art and beautiful library. 💕
