Pattern 4014 -1940s Belle Curve Dress includes nine sizes: 30b/33h - 46b/49h. If your bust measurement is larger than 46,” don’t despair! The pattern is based on a B cup so if your bra cup is a C or larger, you want to choose your size based on your high bust measurement (taken above the breast mass around arm pit level) and then do a full bust adjustment (FBA) on the dress front pattern pieces.
A full bust adjustment on this pattern is not as daunting as you might think.
- slide 2: isolate the Bodice part of the pattern piece by cutting at the waist line.
- slide 3: draw in your FBA cut lines shown here in red.
- slide 4: Slash and spread the Bodice piece to increase the circumference and the length. This adjustment preserves the fit in the neck and shoulders.
-slide 5: reattach the Bodice to the skirt piece. Slash and spread the skirt the same amount as in your bodice. Me-made May Day 3
I made overalls #decadeseveryday the pattern #opheliaoveralls I got the fabric from Hancocks going-out-of-business sale.

What do you think about the blue, I usually wear brown, to match the brown stripes? I’ve made the overalls three times. I’ve been meaning make another pair.

The bug is handmade (not by me). I purchased at the #smithsonian gift store.

@mrspindamo And here's the dress. The base pattern is that of @decades_of_style Zig zag dress, but with an added draped shawl piece. Front and back are hand embroidered with glass beads. That's why it took two years to finish.. all the beading.
