TILLY - Tropfest 2026 Finalist 🎬
To be selected as one of 16 finalists from over 700 submissions at the world's largest short film festival is something I will never take for granted. Screening Tilly at Centennial Park in front of 35,000 people was a night I'll carry with me for a long time.
Huge congratulations to the winner @liannemackessy (Crescendo), 2nd place @sharpe.jasper (We Don't Take Breaks), 3rd place @nic_tinbiscuit (Silent Night), and every single finalist, the standard this year was truly extraordinary. Thank you to founder John Polson and the entire @tropfest team for bringing this festival back and building something so special for Australian filmmakers.
What makes this one particularly meaningful is what we pulled it off with a small, committed crew and just a handful of @aputure lights: two 80Cs, a 400X, and an Infinibar. Proof that the right people and the right tools go a long way.
To every person who gave their time and talent to this film thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
