@decowr, we don't like to train but hire those who are naturally disciplined towards their arts, have strong values and love to explore and express their skills within the scope of right challenge! Thus, when we pick artists from within the self-driven talent pool (which is done on project-basis), the environment at each one's own workstations, rooms or desks gets real exciting, as we all know it's gonna end soon. This turns a digital artist's or creator's personal places into thriving temple of energy for a while, giving their creative sparkle an opportunity to freely showcase their light, alongside learnin'. Here are 2 of our most cherished projects » The Client focused on generating an impact via the innovative usage of AI in sectors of immediate concern, like Healthcare and Farming, driving scalable and sustainable impact across India. Accordingly, we were accountable to several teams and professionals simultaneously for the first time (under our own idea Decowr Digital). 1. From being selected as their trusted partners till the final submissions, we customized, strategised and planned from the scratch, for literally a Government-compliant firm, leading large-scale campaigns for their ideas that impacted many. This was a dream come true, and so, we worked with a mindset of “NO MISTAKES ALLOWED” even by mistake (even though we knew our work was harmless overall). 2. With a Learning Mindset, we didn’t just refine our knowledge about Contractual Service Level Paperwork, Invoicing System, but also realised the importance of Patience, Generosity and Trust. FEAR WAS REAL. The project was BIG! Deadlines were tight! Moreover personal and emotional challenges kept us astray, awake, on the edge. On the other hand, while onboarding the new talent, we focused on two-things, 1. NOT TO TRAIN/LEAD but TRUST and MAKE EVERYTHING ACCESSIBLE. 2. Teach what we can and learn where we can. There's an old song by somebody about how becoming smaller or losing at times can actually make you a winner (as forgiveness, kindness are always more human things to do) that grandmothers around us used to sing along with all, regardless of their labels. One of our Artist's recalled one line from it and shared: "जैसे छोटी बूँद नीर की,दूध में घुल-मिल जाए। छोटा बने जो, हरि को पाए|" It means a tiny droplet of water when it gets dropped inside a large container of milk, it blends. And that's how it expands. Interestingly, the same song, when you explore further (do it at your own pace) also has a line that talks about an ant. When an ant gets inside the trunk of an elephant, the elephant falls! This very well reflects the current times (have always been, but now it's more loudly and expressively, transparently visible/accessible). Smaller creators, businesses, people (or insects) now as they are trying to rise, be better, do something about their condition (as humans), those who've already crossed that stage or never experienced it, are disturbed. This is what a "Course" sounds like under the shed of Decowr Digital. For the definition is apparent: 1. Flow, stream of water, river's direction 2. During the starting years of 2020s, amidst the seemingly never-ending search for work, after a lots of discussions, debates and voting, finally, an interesting acronym was picked as a name to start "something". That's how simply the idea of DeCoWr Digital was born; with an idea to support the Designers, Coders and Writers (like artists @decowr) within a tiny network. What began as a way to support those we cared about was soon cherished, supported and further shared by our little network of independent artists to their own small and big networks without our notice. And so, a distinguished talent pool was discovered, opening a way for us to reach out to such brands that understand and align with artists that were shaping the ideas, hardwork, payment norms, system, sensitivity as well as moral values at Decowr's "Virtual" Studio. Empowering and Electrifying in its own gentle, small way! Isn't it? Just like the "Dot Com" bubble once shifted something in the consciousness of our times... It's observable to witness the steadily exploding AI Bubble in our times. And as we saw it all coming our ways, we didn't fear but engaged with it. Nothing can stop a curious youngster to dive deeper into the opportunities of their times. Navigating and challenging, one piece of the action at a time, and incorporating it in a useful manner that doesn't hinder creativity nor replace it—we made sure to keep our newbie studio active; aligned with demands of the times. @decowr we believe in not only blabbering about talent, but truly challenging ourselves always to keep our minds, hearts, open towards newer opportunities to learn, as well as share our learnings with the self-willing. In India, Collaboration is simply a "Thing" that appears on your porch as an uninvited, sudden, "Opportunity," rather than something to deal or stress about. Helping each other and growing together, leaving no one behind — these things traditionally run in one's DNA. >> This was also inspired by those without whom we couldn't imagine our "Metropolitan swag." >> We observed how the transport drivers in general always have very clear end to end daily goals and priorities that can't be missed, as it's about responsibilities and survival. - As part of the community, they recognise each other easily. - At times, they let the other carry their customers mid-way because they have to reach home timely. - While bad incidents exist, most of them are always helpful, encouraging and rarely driven by ambition alone. >> As a "Thinking Being," it is human to wonder: what else can life be but a fast & slow ride towards a collective realisation of the transient nature of it. And so, "Co" expands from self "Content(ment)" to the idea of human "Co-existence;" importance of its realisation. And that, it is okay to have chaos while one navigates the tough tides like current ai slops. It is okay to evolve together. There's a reason behind why it seems that Brands or Businesses seem to have got no chill. 😂 The two words have a very "Unchilling" history and roots, though calmed in sense by English's borrowing tendency. ~~~~~~~~~ BRAND: From sizzling hot irons to scorching reputations! The term originates from 'Brandr,' which literally was used in Old Norse to mention the practice of burning with a hot iron, later figuratively extended to "mark made by burning" when borrowed by Old English as 'brænd/brond,' and eventually becoming 'brand' (Middle English). Later, the blazing hot term in Marketing shifted the word's sense to encompass "reputation, stigma," and commercial meaning "trademark" or "maker's name". Who knew, a little heat could spark such a fiery journey? Solidification of Decowr Digital's Brand Aesthetics was just like 'Brand's' (the word's) journey. Although, the buzzword was "Business". But that was not our "State of mind" as Artists/Creators first. ~~~~~~~~~ BUSINESS: The word originates from Old English, "bisnes," rooted in "busy" + "-ness." "Busy" itself comes from the "bīsian" (anxious, zealous, occupied and later, care). It shares its history with Proto-Germanic "bisjan*" meaning diligence and Europe's mercantile & trade developments, when the word eventually solidified to mean "commercial enterprise or trade," i.e., from 16c. onwards (Modern) from occupation/activity (Mid). Who knew the heartbeat of the global economy today will originate from such words that once shared their roots with chaos-provoking words like, "marked by burning" or "anxiety". ~~~~~~~~~~ And that's why maybe, once #peaceritika quoted, "Peace is the ultimate error." (2016-19) Thus, the question, how can the two "CO-exist" have been wrong since the beginning. Originating from the Latin idem (same); Modified to Old French and Medieval Latin identitas; Borrowed by English, the present day, "Identity". Just like our collective existence, the noun, "Identity" comes with its own evolution story, but still refuses to be misinterpreted as simply difference or uniqueness! The term means "Sameness" or "What makes You, You" (#Individuality). And that's what we began focusing upon; nurturing.
