‘devotion’ out now—the second single from ‘glossy,’ an album of new music coming 10/11.

‘glossy’ documents a time of upheaval—losing people and places and routines—but it also bridges the gap it sings about, primarily by keeping me connected with the musical family i left in la. while deeply personal, this album belongs to others more than any of my past work, and is as much @urikasbedroom and @shamgangmusic as it is @ded_hyatt. we’ve been working on this together since 2020 🫠 and i’m extremely grateful for their talent, vision, and commitment. without it the album wouldn’t exist.

‘glossy’ is about the eerie newness of familiar things after a life changing event. it’s about missing and grieving, preserving and spoiling, deluding yourself. it’s about androids, odysseus and the sirens, path dependency, and spending too much money. it’s about love with nowhere to put it.

excited to finally share it with you all 🩵

“Chlorine” is about the way the world looks when you’ve been swimming for too long—vision fuzzy from the chemicals, soaking up the summer’s amber warmth but also feeling trapped by it.

Love to @urikasbedroom and @shamgangmusic, who’ve been with me on this journey since 2021. I am endlessly inspired by their vision, brilliance, and craft. Chlorine is the first glimpse of the material we created together between LA, the Bay Area, and London.

Thanks also to @elliegotaninstagram for seeing the sublime in the swimming pool and bringing this song to life visually.

More to come xx
