a year ago today <3

reflecting on what August 31st to August 31st has looked like lots of growth and tears allowing it all to bring clarity to continue walking idivine purpose and what i believe to also be super important is having a heart of gratitude. thankful for my creative friends, my family, and those who put up with all the whimsy. 🧚🏾‍♀️✨

people have been asking me so much lately why jazz ?
I grew up singing gospel and neo soul . I listened to jazz which When I began singing jazz i found a home and safe place in the sounds i was curating. its freedom💛

and there are many other giants who are so deserving of the flowers and recognition who have paved the way for me and others to simply be themselves. to be us . while also expressing the truth about how we can grow and become better . That’s how I’ve gotten to this point with yalls loves and support.

Showing up to shows , reposting stories, supporting my musical journey is why I was able to walk away as the first “Jazz Artist of the Year 24“ recipient for the St. Louis Arts and Entertainment awards.

I see and recognize what will and what can bridge the gaps between what Jazz has been , what is has become , and what it will continue to evolve and be. That means something to me. YALL mean a whole to me and its no giving up ever until its understood globally through space and “time”

Im thankful tjat ive still been blessed with opportunities to use my gift and collaborate with other incredible artist.

Stayyyy strooongggggg, breeeatheee my loves , and keep going stl i <333 yall
