october's line up

QOTD 💌 - which books are you hoping to read this month?

we are officially in the spooky season 🎃

i have got all my cosy jumpers, scarfs and fluffy gloves ready (& I am trying to stop myself from buying any autumnal jumper I pass) and now that it's october, the horror movies have begun!

and obviously, my october tbr is filled with some old favourites and new potentials in the paranormal and fantasy romance genre 💜 i'm going to have to flip a coin on whether i start love at first fright or die for me first (all the covers are gorgeousss)

thank you again to @quercusbooks for sending me a physical copy of son of the morning! ✨️ by @dee_tbr

my gifted paddock pass

QOTD 💌 - have you read any books by Hannah Grace & have you got any 2027 releases on your tbr?

the squeal that I let out when I saw a certain champagne powers sticker on my parcel 😭

champagne powers is the latest work by @hannahgraceauthor that is releasing 16th February 2027 🥂 i was so excited the moment that Grace announced this and even more excited when I saw we would be getting a F1 romance!

the premises, 10/10

the tropes, 10/10

my temptation to start reading and meet Saint and Ivy now, very high 🤭

also, I do need to highlight how gorgeous the edges and artwork is (so many talents artists and designers in the bookworld 🥰)

a massive thank you to @yourswithlovex and @littlebrownbookgroup_uk for sending me a copy of Champagne Problems and for these super cute goodies ✨️ I am truly so grateful for this! by @dee_tbr

🧪 💗 🧬

QOTD 💌 - which is your favourite ali hazelwood book?

girls, today is the day! 😭 I have been so excited for the movie to be released!

the teasers have been absolutely perfect (and we all know which chapter we want to see the full scene of 👀) lili reinhart & tom bateman look just perfect as our olive & adam, and lili's outfits are the press tour have been beyond gorgeous!

now, I have to wait until Friday until I can watch it (because I refuse to watch it on my phone, it deserves more than that 🙂‍↕️) so no spoilers but if you loved the movie adaptation please let me know!! 💗 by @dee_tbr

the perfect pair = pink covers & romance

QOTD 💌 - how to do cope with reading slumps?

I hope everyone has been having a lovely week so far! 💗 so sorry that I have been a bit quieter recently, work has been so busy & I have found no time for me! 😴

because of this, I have felt myself slowly falling into a reading slump and I am trying to hardest to crawl out of it! i'm just starting grim tidings so keeping my fingers crossed that it will do the trick!

but if anyone has any tricks that have worked for them, i'm open to anything 🙂‍↕️🫡 by @dee_tbr

crash into you | book tour

QOTD 💌 - what are your favourite tropes?

crash into you by @simonesoltani (27.08.2026)

soltani is back with this latest addition to the lights out series and has delivered a wonderfully emotional and romantic story 🧡

I loved both Ava and Zaid - we got such good independent characters who stood so well on their own and I loved that got to see them face their challenges and work towards what they really wanted from their lives. But I have to admit, my favourites are obviously those of Ava and Zaid together!

getting to see Zaid fall more and more in love with Ava was just too good 😭 any scene of Zaid being a sweetheart & protecting and caring for Ava had me giggling, kicking my feet, throwing pillows and blushing! but don't worry, we are also provided with a gorgeous and determined female lead, and the confidence & support that she shows for Zaid 🥺

p.s. before you read about a certain trope below & decide this isn't for you, as a girlie who doesn't normally pick up unexpected pregnancy stories, this is a yes put it on your tbr! ultimately, soltani can write any trope 🙂‍↕️

tropes
🏎️ grumpy x sunshine
🏎️ F1 driver x Rival team principal’s daughter
🏎️ he falls first and harder
🏎️ unexpected pregnancy

thank you so much to @bookbreakuk & @chloedavies_publicity for having me on the book tour & gifting me a finished copy! by @dee_tbr

september reading

QOTD 💌 - how many books did you read in august?

so, I'm almost completely sticking to my tbr inspo of cosy autumnal reads - but a re-read of warrior, princess, assassin definitely counts because the paperback is a gorgeous autumnal red (👀) & I've had to add on the very definition of love because I finally went and grab my copy 🙂‍↕️

I just need to decide on which one to start with first! so if anyone loves any of these, please let me know 🥰

p.s. i will make no apologies for the amount of sunflowers that will be featuring throughout my september posts, i have a beautiful bunch at the moment 😂 by @dee_tbr

hello september

QOTD 💌 - which books are you hoping to read this september?

whilst i have absolutely loved this summer and all the sunny weather we have received, i am also not so secretly excited for it to become oversized jumpers, hot drinks and bonfires season 🍁

i will absolutely be making my september tbr full of all the cosy and autumn feel romances that live on my shelves (& the ones that I will ultimately buy on my next book shopping trip 🤭)

i hope you have all had a lovely september first! 🧡✨️ by @dee_tbr

return to sorrowsong

QOTD 💌 - have you read daybreak or is it on your tbr?

i am finally reading one of my most anticipated reads of the year! i don't know how i've managed to resist it for so long and i've completely avoided all spoilers (no spoilers in the comments just yet 🤫)

my morning routine consists of remembering my work bag, travel mug and my true essential - my current read! and also hoping there's a seat so I can sneak a few chapters in, which I have managed to do this week 🤭 and I have not been disappointed, the gorgeous writing style and jumping into the emotional turmoil has been 🤌

also we do have to take a moment again to appreciate the beautiful editions that this series has and all the gorgeous artwork created! & i'm counting down the days until the fairyloot editions arrive too! 💜 by @dee_tbr

welcome to fable

QOTD 💌 - what is your first book of august and have you read yes, chef?

yes, chef by @authorgracereilly (21.07.2026)

delicious, delectable & I want seconds!

the romance, poppy & jack, our side characters, this story was so fun and I loved every second 🩷 this was a romance where I was also so happy to have dual pov because poppy (our girl, we love her) but getting the sneaky insights into jack's yearning and torment was definitely a cherry on top 🤭

it wasn't just the romance between our main leads that I loved (but let's not downplay how sweet and steamy this love story is!!) but Reilly did an amazing job with giving us a rich insight and background of our leads. I loved that we were able to understand the development of them but also how it could explain their choices and reactions

it is easy to say that the scenes of poppy and jack bonding over cooking and making fable were definitely the cutest scenes out of them all 🥰 well 9 out of 10 cute... with the other 1 being saved for scenes when the kitchen definitely became too hot 😏 by @dee_tbr

a storm is coming

QOTD 💌 - which sub-genre of romance books are you reading at the moment? yes, I'm hunting for more weather romances and I think my cowboy era is coming back 😌

i was too excited to go to my local works store and bookshop to grab these romances! i was counting down the days for these getting released & i was not disappointed 🤭

chase me if you can 🌩

cute, loved it, a great pick for when you want a man to be Yearning and Goal Orientated 👀 i devoured this too quickly, the relationship and humour between the main leads just made it so easy to eat chapter after chapter!

in stormy weather 🌪

talking about chemistry, tension, humour and romantic sparks 😏 this was another stand out for giving me what I need = STEM, independent female lead & good ol' rivarly! I was a complete sucker for this romance, the scenes between the main leads were delicious

p.s. the works editions at the moment are sooo good! by @dee_tbr

bringing all the pretty shades of pink back for this pink wednesday 💗

i think july is definitely going to end up being one of the months where I will have bought more books than read more books, but who can blame me with all the exciting releases this month (peep, tropesick 🤭)

and I will totally be making sure to make it up in august... 👀 by @dee_tbr
