POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

☁️ ONE NIGHTMARE RULES ALL ☁️

We're headed back to the Realm of the Unseen, so hold on to your clouds, folks, because the thrills are many, the stakes higher, and the emotions at an all time breaking point.

Writing this book was, dare I say, a nightmare in itself, and I'll probably expand on that in the future, but after all the tears and sleepless nights, I'm so proud of this difficult, magical little book.

She comes out in 2 months! 😱 And preorders are available now!

❤️ book birthdays are complicated, but I'm always grateful for another year around the sun and for to the opportunity to celebrate another book.

💫 the adventure began in RING OF FATE, where 12 year old Farrah made a wish for a place to belong and gets more than she ever bargained for. The story continues in REALM OF NIGHTMARES, where Farrah fights for her place in the jinn world, but when the City of Jewels is threatened, a prophecy suggests Farrah may be the key to saving or destroying the jinn world.

🎂 happy book birthday to me.

❤️ wish you were here to see it.

This week’s current read is Farrah Noorzad and the Ring of Fate by @deebazargarpur published by @randomhousekids. I’m loving Farrah’s story so far; everything from her relationships to the book’s settings are so complex and lively. I’m excited to continue on to the second which I just received an arc of earlier in the week. #farrahnoorzadandtheringoffate #netgalley #arcreader #currentlyreading📖 #jinn #middlegradebooks #middlegradefiction #booksbooksbooks #bookreader #libbyapp #bookstagram #bookstagramer by @deebazargarpur

Hey Cincinnati! Books by the Banks is happening tomorrow! Over 120 authors across all age categories and fun programming (peep the middle grade panel). If you're in the area, stop by and say hello. 😊 It's gonna be a blast.

Pray for my wallet, I saw the set up and there are sooooo many good books. 🙂‍↕️

Thank you to @sharjahbookauthority for creating a wonderful opportunity to connect with so many kids and to instill a love of reading and storytelling at the Sharjah International Book Fair. When I tell you kids are the future, they really are. I loved having the chance to teach them about writing heroes and villains, and to dig a little deeper when it comes to crafting your own heroes and villains, as well as examining the characters in their favorite stories. ❤️ The jetlag was real, but totally worth it.

(*shared only a few pics, for privacy, but the kids were all amazing and I wish I could have stayed all day crafting characters with them)

Until next year!

🫶🏼 Preorder Campaign Drop!

I can't believe the middle grade book of my heart releases in 4 months. To celebrate, I've teamed up with @booksofwonder on a special preorder campaign.

If you order through their website (link in bio), you will receive:

✨️Signed + Personalized book

✨️ 2 Page Overlay (w/ a bookmark that lets you know exactly where to place these pages in the book). Art by @gdacted

✨️ An EPIC POSTER! Art by @gdacted

Fun fact: Every element of the story is hidden in the poster, making it an excellent visual aid to have on hand as you read through. I had a blast commissioning both pieces from the talented @gdacted and so amazed at the way he brought the world of Farrah Noorzad to life.

For those not in the book world, I wanted to talk about why preordering a book is important (especially for debuts!). Book publishing is extremely competitive, with publishers releasing so many books annually. Because of that, retailers have become increasingly selective on books they choose to stock in store. While online shopping is convenient, it doesn't help with organic discoverability and the joy a kid gets by walking through a shop and picking up a book they are excited about.

This is where preorders come in. When retailers see a strong demand early, it may tip the odds in a book's favor to be carried in store. I know everything is expensive and not everyone has funds to spare to preorder books, but if you find yourself in the position where you can, I would be so grateful if you considered ordering FARRAH NOORZAD. ❤️
