Why is it when I have all these pots & pans etc to wash, I spend 15 minutes scrubbing every last stain out of the sink, including around the drain with a toothbrush? by @deeberj

Chopped salad with arugula, romaine & iceberg lettuces, sweet frying pepper, orange mini tomatoes & my homemade sauerkraut with purple cabbage. No dressing needed. by @deeberj

Fermented shredded zucchini, radishes, red cabbage. The zucchini is the best right when it's ready in only 7 or 8 days. Not as wonderful after being refrigerated but still tasty. by @deeberj

This is my life lately. I have these ideas and intentions to do things, but time gets away from me. I bought this at a farm stand for a few bucks; it has roots, and I want to plant it in a pot. Yet here it sits, days later, dying. by @deeberj

Wish I had a before picture. This is just half of the leaves I raked, that fell from one tree. From the front yard only. Waiting for the township leaf sucker truck to come get them. Sides & back will be mowed/mulched as they are fenced in and not bothering the neighbors. It took me an hour because I'm an old lady. Second picture is how many leaves are still left on the second tree. Ugh.

1. I wish I had $ to cut these trees down. They are too high for a front yard, they drip sticky stuff all over my car all spring & summer, the birds in them do their thing on my car as if it's target practice, and I am too old for this work.

2. Until then, I need a lightweight leaf blower because, as I said, I'm old.

It all boils down to me being old. by @deeberj

Just put on a pot of beef chili to cook several hours. It took 50 minutes to prep (lots of chopping & I don't go fast so my fingers can remain intact), and due to price increases on everything, especially meat, probably cost around $35. The different than usual ingredients are carrots & celery & a beer. Tastes best with a stout, but all I had was a Coors Banquet. It will affect the taste, I'm sure. by @deeberj

Sometimes dinner has to be fast. Naan garlic bread, canned roasted tomato chunks with added Italian herbs & of course garlic, grated cheese, bake a few minutes in the toaster oven. I like mine not well done, just barely warmed. by @deeberj
