Delighted to be asked by @merseywayworkshop to do the artwork for Stockport Ceramics Fair again this year🏺This is a wonderful event which celebrates the thriving pottery and ceramics scene here in Stockport and beyond.

From the outset, I wanted to keep the same layout and composition as last year's artwork, whilst centring the illustration more around carving and the way the heads of the tools look when they become slightly misshapen.

Details-wise, this was a super fun one to work on. The falling clay spiral/trimming detail was a last minute shout from Tom at Merseyway Workshop, and it has since become one of my favourite parts of the piece (top art direction, Tom). taken in Stockroom Stockport by @deedoubleyoo_

Buzzed to do the artwork for the debut @mokshabanduk single!

The Kerrang feature on the second slide explains the inspiration and story behind the tune, which made for a great starting point when making the illustration.

I've also included a few of the alternative colour options we pondered on together, along with a couple initial sketches and ideas 🌊🏵

Big shout out to studio papi @aidandonovan.design who plays bass in Moksha and got me in on this project. Super happy with how it came out 🤘 by @deedoubleyoo_

Fully Peppered Festival 2026: our most ambitious project to date 🫑
6 months to organise and 11 years in the making - there were times I thought this project wouldn't even be possible. Not a single one of us truly knew what that weekend just gone by was going to look like, but 6~ months of solid effort and trusting the process led to us delivering something proper magical.
Everyone in attendance deffo heard me chatting enough breeze on the mic after taking on the job of impromptu-compere for the weekend, but what I said in my final speech on Sunday is so true. @semipeppered is such a massive part of me giving design and illustration a go. They were the first people to pay me for my work, backed me from the start, said my name in rooms I wasn't in, and always made sure I knew I was a part of something exciting with them.
Seeing my work spread across @fullypeppered was a beautiful and surreal thing. From people wearing my tees all weekend to seeing people flick through one of the 300 programmes that I folded, it was a pleasure to see my designs exist in such a joyous, living, breathing space.
'DIY' 'Community' and 'Collaboration' will always be in danger of being hollow buzzwords when used incorrectly, but this weekend I saw the true essence and power of all of those words and their meanings when conveyed in a pure and authentic manner.
I'll be forever grateful for every single one of my fellow crew, collaborators, attendees, and members of this new community. My heart is so full and I can't wait to see where this project takes us 🫶 by @deedoubleyoo_

Having an illustrator as part of your crew is a bit of a cheat code. It’s allowed us to have a unique and ever-evolving visual character which is properly reflective of what we're trying to do as a collective. Life imitates art, as they say, and for sure Dylan’s playful and charming designs
help to remind us of who we are and what we represent. It’s a privilege to work so tightly with
such a talented designer, who is as hard working as he is creative. Most importantly, it’s saved
us an absolute fortune.

Beyond the pen and paper, Dyl is also a deep, deep digger of music. Like many suburban boys
Dylan is inherently a mosher, but as his teenage angst has dissipated in his maturity and he got
a proper grown up trim, his tastes have broadened to a mighty degree. As well versed in his shoegaze and dream-pop as he is boogie and disco, Dyl is a vibesman at heart with an ear for tunes to cuddle your bezzies to.

As the very first set of the festival, going b2b with
his old man, BDWFamilyTree (aka Brent), the
Woodall boys will be getting those belly-fires roaring with that unmistakable first-beer optimism

Fear no - whilst Thugga (aka Truly Humble Under God) may have found himself lost within a forest dark, our Peppered Elves have been crafting away at some stunning signage to illuminate the straightforward pathways in the journey of our lives.

2 and a half months ago I umm'd and ahh'd about whether or not I should enter a mural design into the @fables_creative we out here open call. It was a mixture of life feeling super busy, combined with the fact i'd never done a mural before (or anything at this scale really) which made me close to not submitting at all. These were just excuses, as I admittedly felt anxious about being outside of my comfort zone. So, I hopped on my bike after work and did a long old evening stint in the studio where I created something I was really happy with.

When I found out my design had been selected to be featured at this year's festival, I was initially bricking it, but after getting some solid advice from my trusted bud, Mike @mikesian.studio I felt way more clued up on the do's and dont's that I should be aware of.

Anyone who knows me, knows how much We Out Here means to me. After attending the festival for the past 6 years, it's been heavily responsible for me gaining a fresh outlook on life, connecting with people, strengthening friendships and forming new ones; and, of course, experiencing unforgettable musical moments. This piece is dedicated to all the love I've given and received from this special gathering and I couldn't be happier to have contributed my own small part to 2026's edition.

Lastly, I have to mention how appreciative I am for having one of my best friends Frasier as my glamorous and supportive assistant throughout the process. He had to deal with multiple rambly anxious voice notes, drove me down to the site on his flippin birthday, offered me advice and kept me calm when I needed it, but most of all trusted the process and stayed positive the whole time. I wouldn't have been able to do this without ya Freggy and I f*ckin love ya man.

I'll never forget the feeling when my friends saw the finished piece for the first time. We were literally cheering, crying and embracing each other like we'd all achieved something sick together.

I could pour my heart out about this for ages, but that's enough banging on from me. Big up the Fables Crew and everyone involved, big ups Frasier, big ups my best friends, and big up Gilles ❤️ taken in We Out Here Festival by @deedoubleyoo_
