On September 16th 2026 the 29th year Anniversary of Usher's Sophomore CD/Album MY WAY.
Me, Louis Johnson and Samuel Jenkins were the fashion masterminds behind reinventing Usher's style and look during that period as he still continues to be stylish and debonair to this day.

In 1996 at Quincy Jones Grammy party I met Usher as I stated to him " you need a stylist because no one wears kentecloth anymore". He said " oh really"!!! I was like yea you need me as your stylist. ** see picture of me and Usher**

One year later (Summer of 1997) I get a call from LaFace Records from a young lady name Liwazza Greene ( if that is correct spelling) stating that Usher and LaFace Records is requesting me because they heard and seen that "I do dope shit with artists."

They mailed me copy of My Way cassette tape to listen to as I did about 10 times.
I knew exactly what I wanted to do for Usher regarding that Album/CD.
I decided that I was going to mix Urban Streetwear with alot of European High Fashion Streetwear.
LaFace Records was like huh??? They was talking about leather suits like some ole Jagged Edge /Jodeci kind of looks. I was like "Usher is solo artist not a group which means he needs to set trends not follow them." I was like yall called me so trust me.

Met Usher again again Summer of 1997 at a hotel in Midtown on 44th St and 6th Ave, brought him a few outfits for starters like some Iceberg( European Collection) not the Mickey Mouse/Goofy stuff, Purple Label Ralph Lauren, Enyce, Marithe and Francois Girbaud ( European Collection) Mecca, Trussardi and Tommy Hilfiger Red Label to show him that I was going transform him into a superstar. I put him in the Iceberg first and he was hesitant because it was fitted and tight but as he kept looking in the mirror he was like " Yea Man this is nice... Aight lets do this".

I brought 18 head to toe looks for Usher to be shot by photographer Butch Belaire. This shoot was done all over Manhattan to Brooklyn from Saturday to Sunday morning
