Somewhere between krautrock, noise rock, decaying psychedelia, and pagan proto-punk, Dééfait makes music like one performs a ritual: in trance, on repeat, and without a safety net. They deliver lyrics — chanted, whispered, shouted — alternating in three languages: English, Spanish, and French. Active on the Paris underground scene since 2024 Dééfait imposes a ritual tension, physical, almost hallucinatory. Touring their debut album mixed by GNOD (@icidailleurs ) @ingnodwetrust

Parastatic are three friends from the North East of England with a love for Krautrock, shoegaze and post-rock music.
Since their birth in 2010 they have sporadically released music that fuses motorik grooves with thumping synths and magical guitar sounds. With the exciting addition of a spoken word performance from Valencia-born, Newcastle-based electronic and spoken word artist Late Girl. Their 3rd album Concrete Reborn, was released by @workieticket Records in 2025 and will be touring their new EP in November.

Dééfait est un rituel occulte d’invocation tribale, une introspection en apnée, une exploration inversée, un trajet sinueux à travers les eaux saumâtres et filandreuses du rock psychédélique.

Il a vraiment fallu un drôle de hasard pour donner naissance à ce groupe au nom bizarre, qui en dépit de sa consonance un peu loser a dès ses premiers pas posé les jalons d’un certain succès. Un hasard qui a mené Ric Lara à 9000 bornes de la capitale mexicaine qui l’a vu grandir et à laquelle sa formation a emprunté son nom : DF pour Distrito Federal, l’autre nom de Mexico.

Reste à savoir quelle carte, quel territoire (rock ? noise ? psyché ?) et c’est bien l’intérêt de Dééfait. L’alchimie que l’on sent entre les membres du groupe évoque un rite bruitiste : un mur de guitares, de percussions incantatoires, et de voix possédées.

Avec Dééfait le son se tord, se répète, s’étire jusqu’à l’épuisement. Passant toujours d’une langue à l’autre (anglais, français, espagnol), Dééfait trouve par là sa singularité : la voix lancinante parfois suraigüe vient hanter une structure fondamentale guidée par la basse, sur laquelle s’échangent des étages de guitare, dont les harmoniques s’entremêlent avec celles des échos obsédants de son chanteur-vociférateur.

En salle comme sur disque, tout devient matière : larsen, peau, battement. À capter de près, volume haut : immersion garantie, horizon post-espèce en ligne de mire.

𝘿𝙚́𝙚́𝙛𝙖𝙞𝙩 𝙭 𝙋𝙧𝙞𝙢𝙚𝙪𝙧𝙨 • 𝟯𝟬 𝙤𝙘𝙩 ☄ Aucun manque d’ambition ici, le double éé de leur nom fait référence au Distrito Federal de Mexico d’où est issu le chanteur du groupe et non à un goût un peu snob pour la lose… Bien au contraire, puisque ces cinq là nous entrainent dans un véritable rituel de transe à couper le souffle, entre inexorabilité du kraut, intensité de la noise et psychédélisme décadent. Nul n’en sortira indemne.

[RELEASE DAY DÉÉFAIT]

Le tant attendu premier album de @deefait_df sort ce jour et nous sommes enchantés de le partager avec vous.

Dééfait, c’est un nom : DF pour Distrito Federal, l’autre nom de Mexico. C’est là-bas qu’a grandi Ric Lara, le chanteur-vociférateur. En 2021, lors de Stay Hungry Sessions dans des caves de Paris, ils se découvrent avec Grégoire Couvert, Enir Da, Lucas et Pablo Valero. Une rencontre humaine et musicale, nourrie d’influences allant des riffs de Fugazi à la sauvagerie de Boredoms, entre cinq musiciens appréciant autant l’épaisseur d’un Terminal Cheesecake que l’énergie électrique de CAN, ou encore l’inventivité du collectif mancunien Gnod. Dééfait nous offrent à entendre la fusion de guitar wall, de riffs cinglants, de percussions incantatoires, et de voix possédées.

Après un EP maison paru en décembre 2025, cet album texturé et puissant a été mis en boîte aux légendaires @studioblackboxfrance , où @peterdeimel a enregistré tandis que le mixage a été confié à Andy Blundell (@ingnodwetrust ). Deux singles sont sortis cet été (I promise to divide you, Satan’s Brew). @uweteichert a réalisé le mastering

Sept pièces. Aucune issue de secours.

Avec son premier album éponyme, DÉÉFAIT ne cherche pas à remettre le rock sur ses pieds : il préfère lui retirer le sol.

Noise, psychédélisme, kraut, doom… les frontières se brouillent tandis que les guitares déplacent les murs, que la basse modifie la gravité et que la voix de Ric Lara circule entre les langues comme une présence difficile à localiser.

Dééfait, c’est moins un disque qu’une chambre de pression : on y entre debout, on en ressort avec l’horizon légèrement de travers.

Notre chronique du premier album, à paraître le 2 octobre 2026 chez Ici d’Ailleurs, est désormais à découvrir sur solenopole.com.

With their self-titled debut album, DÉÉFAIT are not trying to put rock back on its feet, they would rather remove the floor beneath it.
Noise, psychedelia, kraut, doom… boundaries dissolve as guitars reshape the walls, bass alters gravity and Ric Lara’s voice slips between languages like a presence that refuses to stay in one place.
Dééfait feels less like an album than a pressure chamber: you enter standing upright and leave with the horizon slightly tilted.

A rhythmically rich, textured breakbeat that transitions into a free jazz bridge and concludes with a loud roar, that is Ruda Krua.

With an unconventional lineup of bass clarinet, saxophone, and drums, the group delivers an intense performance that moves between the sonic worlds of free jazz, punk, ambient, and electro-acoustic music.

Arlette is a repetitive, groove-driven five-piece whirlwind with a diverse instrumentation including percussion, jaw harp, violin, tape manipulations, krakebs, and organ. Together, they transform into a playground where chaos and joy set the rules. With idiosyncratic violin lines, syncopated rhythms, and delightfully skewed vocal phrasing, they create a sound that feels both structured and mischievous.

𝔴𝔦𝔩𝔩 𝔤𝔲𝔱𝔥𝔯𝔦𝔢 & 𝔢𝔫𝔰𝔢𝔪𝔟𝔩𝔢 𝔫𝔦𝔰𝔱-𝔫𝔞𝔥
Drawing from Indonesian gamelan traditions and other gong-based musical cultures from Southeast Asia, the ensemble does not seek to recreate traditional music, but rather to form a living, ever-evolving body of sound. Pulsing rhythms, resonant metals, hypnotic repetition and collective improvisation merge into music that feels at once ceremonial, physical and strikingly contemporary.

2026 has been pretty amazing for us so far, and it’s only about to get even better for these three last month with the releasing of our first LP (October 2 !) and a beautiful run of live shows around France, the UK and the Netherlands !
