@two.o_motorsports yz250f barking in the deep sand ✊🏼 Round 11/12 @ausenduro Coming into the weekend still dealing with the back end of an injury definitely wasn’t ideal, Saturdays 3hr cross country was the gnarliest track I’ve ever ridden and trying to nurse a hand injury just wasn’t working so I decided to pull out on lap 4 eventing in a DNF Sunday was better, test times were short which gave my hand time to rest between sprints. However the speed just wasn’t there, finished P7 in class (E1) and 17th in pro enduro. I showed my potential in the first half of this year and it’s been extremely difficult to fade back as far as I have, was it smart to race the last 2 rounds knowing I’m not 100% ? Probably not but I showed up and gave every ounce of effort I had. Injury update - Unfortunately, I’ll be sitting out rounds 9 and 10 of the AEC. My wrist injury hasn’t healed as hoped, and it needs more time. It’s a bit gutting to miss races, but the priority is healing properly so I can come back 100% for the final round. Massive thanks to my family, sponsors, and everyone who’s been checking in. Your support means a lot. I’ll be doing everything I can to get back behind the bars as soon as possible. Focus now is recovery, rebuilding, and finishing strong. WELL… better late then never right ? 🚑 Casterton round 7&8 @ausenduro Round 7 cross country (DNF) Round 8 sprints (DNS) 2 weeks prior to Casterton I had a practice crash and injured my wrist, I got X-rays and nothing showed up so I got a wrist brace and punched on, fast forward to Casterton cross country I felt really good lap 1, wrist was sore but I was in P2 (E1) and felt good until a small crash halfway through lap 2 really upset my wrist. After that the wheels really fell off fading back and eventually pulling out of the race. Onto now I got home and got an MRI on my wrist which showed a fracture at the base of my hand. Going on 6 weeks post injury and still a long way of being 100% Really gutted to be out of championship contention but I showed up and gave what I had to give unfortunately it wasn’t ment to be, time to focus on getting healthy and making a statement to finish the year ! Back to back podiums for rounds 5&6 !!! Felt really good to bounce back strong and be nipping at the heals of first place straight outa the gate. Saturday was awesome ran P2 in class most of the day winning test 3, had a good crash in test 5 giving me a small setback but we rebounded well and held on to a comfortable 2nd (6th in pro enduro) Sunday was a different story the track presented a lot slower and more technical causing me to not find my feet until late in the day, after sitting P4 most of the day i was super proud of myself to clinch back to P3 after a strong final test! Currently sitting P3 in the E1 class championship. Appreciate the recognition from Yamaha, but still out here doing it as a self funded privateer with the support of some awesome local businesses and good people around me, and I’m super grateful for everyone helping me get to the races each weekend.
