I can still remember the person who started with a makeup kit full of random products, not really knowing what I was doing — just knowing that I wanted to try. My first gig was AED 50 per head. It wasn’t much, but I remember how happy I was knowing I was finally earning from something I genuinely loved. I remember my first fashion show too. I was so shy that I hid my kit at the back because I was intimidated by the other artists and their big, beautiful setups. I remember looking at them and wondering if I would ever feel like I belonged there. Then came my first fashion campaign. My first film. My first Halloween gig. The late nights, the nerves, the excitement, and all the little moments that made me think, maybe I really can do this. Then came my first brand collaborations. And somehow, the person who used to hide their kit at the back was eventually leading a team of MUA’s for a brand event. When I look back, I remember more than just the jobs. I remember how scared I was. How excited I was. How much I wanted to learn. How badly I wanted to prove to myself that I could do this. And I also know I didn’t get here alone. I’m so thankful for the people who have mentored me, guided me, believed in me, and supported me throughout this journey. 3 years later, those memories still feel so fresh — not just in my mind, but in my heart. And I think a part of me will always be grateful that I started, even when I was scared.
