- I was highly encouraged to post lol so here we are. In all honest, I was fighting so much that morning and literally felt like I had NOTHING to give.

In the midst of the craziness that is happening in my life, I know that the ultimate goal of the devil is to make me forget WHO and WHAT God has already done. You fight back by staying grateful… grateful to the God who continues to heal me , continues to provide for me, and continues to love me unconditionally. That’s a consistency that can’t be matched and I’m just.. grateful.

So although this isn’t perfect singing, I wanted to say God I’m just grateful that you will never leave me no matter what.

God is kind.

I really love this video @marandacurtis made because it was such an important thing to share! Most singers don’t realize how close they are to vocal injury until it’s already happening.

It doesn’t just start with losing your voice. It starts with it feeling… different.

As a speech and voice therapist, my goal is to help singers catch it early, before it turns into something more serious.

Your voice will always tell you when something’s off.

Transparency: I absolutely suck at taking time to rest. I’m ALWAYS on the go, however I’m learning to slow down when my body tells me to. 🧘🏾‍♀️🌱

So this is what care has been looking like:
• warm fluids
• steaming
• juicing + vitamins
• gentle humming
• and actually resting (still working on that part lol)

Your voice isn’t separate from your body.
If your body is run down, your voice will be too.

This your reminder that taking care of yourself is vocal training too!

If you’ve been feeling off vocally lately, don’t ignore it 🤍
