POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Thanks to everyone who came to hang out with us at Austin Monthly’s Best Dive Bars issue release party! We had a packed house at Deep Eddy Cabaret to sip Lone Stars and Aguasol cocktails, shoot pool, check out the latest issue, and queue up favorite songs on the jukebox. DJ Sunset Canyon spun dive bar anthems outside at Pool Burger while intrepid guests shared their wildest bar stories and hottest takes at our Dive Bar Confessionals on the front patio. Special thanks to our sponsors Deep Eddy Cabaret, Lone Star Beer, and Aguasol for a rockin’ night. Want to attend our next issue release party? The latest issue of Austin Monthly is on stands now! Bathed in neon light, covered in kitschy decor, and boasting an aroma of slightly stale beer, dive bars possess a gritty but charming mystique. Home to equal populations of college kids and hippie holdovers, Austin has an abundance of such beloved locales, which have helped solidify the city’s identity as a funky, laid-back place to pass the time. In our new cover feature, we chronicle 25 offbeat dive bars where you can swig a longneck, fire up the jukebox, and shoot pool with your pals. Read the full list at the link in bio 🍻
