Pro Teams Scrap!

The Guapos (blue caps) playing out of Charleston, South Carolina and the Salamanders (yellow caps) playing out of Austin Texas start off in a scrap.

Players from both teams fought for poessession of the torpedo, giving it their all by controlling wrists, arms, and shoulders. This is why UTL players need water confidence, you have to decide whether the torpedo or getting air is more important.

The salamanders managed to get the turnover the torpedo and send it down the pool to an open teammate, resulting in a clean goal.

Scraps: Only 2 players (4 total) from each team are allowed in a “scrap.”

If the scrap reaches the surface of the pool, 2 players from opposing teams will compete in a dive race from the surface to gain possession of the torpedo.

If there is more than 2 players from one team in the scrap, it results in a penalty shot from the non-violating team.

Definition of a Scrap: 2-4 players from opposting teams competing to gain possession of the torpedo, no kicking, punching, choking, or submission movements are allowed. by @deependcharleston

STRESS RESPONSE CONDITIONING 🔥🧠

DEF challenges your reactions to stress in a safe and controlled environment, leaving you mentally and emotionally resilient.

When done rhythmically and for time, BOBS induce a Flow or Alpha State. Alpha waves bring about feelings of calm, increased creativity, and enhances your ability to absorb new information.

✊🏼 to Michael for Bobbing over 5 mins and earning that FLOW 😌 by @deependcharleston

🔥 When operators face extreme stress, we train far beyond the physicality-we train their blood. By using specific physiological triggers, we teach them to force their body to dump a surge of red blood cells into the system, blood boost, delay fatigue, vastly increase stamina and all out speeds, increase breath holds, simulate high-altitude training and clear decades of chronic stress and trauma.

This is real-world readiness with JBC Fire and EOD and the caliber of work we are trusted to support. We are deeply honored to do so. Who’s next?

1st morning at the Quiet Warrior x Big Fish Foundation RETREAT. Coffee and Sunrise and then Beach Training 💪🏽.

There’s a kind of strength that grows not from avoiding hard things, from hermetic stress—learning to transform pressure from the inside out, and this crew crushed it.

There is so much to say about Kai and Quiet Warrior. What started as a small conversation has become a complete game changer for our 6-year-old son. Logan has always been a kid who carries doubt, puts mental pressure on himself, and struggles with anxiety when it comes to sports and competition — even simple games at home.

We began working with Kai three months before wrestling season started, knowing we were gearing up for a challenge. Through both the good and tough sessions — in the pool and in dryland training — Logan showed incredible improvement. He was truly put to the test at his first tournament this year, and Kai was right there with him the entire day. She stood mat-side during every match, especially when his mind started to give in after a loss. With her calm reassurance, positive coaching, and breath work, Logan reset, came back, and walked away with an overall win.

We feel so blessed to have Kai as part of Logan’s growth and his journey toward understanding stress and overcoming self-doubt. She has worked side by side with him and has been the most amazing coach, even in the moments when Logan wanted to quit. Watching your child learn about himself and conquer his own doubt is something I will forever be grateful for. by @deependcharleston

Optimal breathing allows the air you inhale to reach the lower part of your lungs, while the actual breath itself is not large. - The Power of your Breath

8 weeks ago, you would have thought that a 60 degree day and low water temps would bring this boy to tears. Instead, he crushed his session with a smile the whole time even though going under in the cold after 30 minutes starred to tax his mentality. So excited to kick off wrestling with Logan and this new mindset. @deependcharleston by @deependcharleston

When you transcend the annoyances, stressors, frustrations and fear and F.R.E.E yourself into bliss.

This training works…just ask this 6 yr old!

5 min Ice Plunge Club 🤩

Submerging your hands in ice water brings a new level of suck that forces most people to stop at 30 seconds. When you push past the mental alarms screaming at you and earn the chemical boost your body delivers on the other side, you’ll be buzzing with pride and endorphins. Choose the suck. Earn the flow state. Uplevel your mental game.
