Glastonbury has confirmed the price of a 2027 ticket: £408 including booking fee, up from £378.50 in 2025. It is the first time a Worthy Farm pass has crossed the £400 mark.

Coach packages go on sale at 6pm on Thursday, October 1, followed by standard tickets on Sunday, October 4. The festival returns from June 23 to 27, 2027 after this year’s fallow break.

According to the BBC, Glastonbury tickets cost around £85 more in 2025 than in 2013. The price covers « 4,000 performances across more than 100 stages and five nights camping », with part of the proceeds going to Oxfam, Greenpeace and WaterAid.

Defected has announced a seven date tour of New Zealand, Indonesia and Australia this November and December. Sam Divine plays every show.

The run opens at The Mothership in Auckland on November 28, then Savaya in Bali on December 4 with TSHA as special guest. Australia follows: Port Beach Brewery in Perth on December 5, Felons Barrel Hall in Brisbane on December 6, Northcote Theatre in Melbourne on December 11, The Ivy in Sydney on December 12 and Byron Bay’s Beach Hotel on December 13, with David Penn, Murphy’s Law and Nick Curly joining across the Australian dates.

Founded in 1999, Defected remains one of house music’s best known labels, with residencies in Ibiza, London, Croatia and Miami.

BASEMENT, the Queens techno club known for putting stickers on every phone camera, has banned smart glasses. Anyone bringing a pair into the venue, not only wearing them, will be asked to leave and may be permanently banned.

« Our no photo, no video policy exists to protect the privacy, safety and freedom of everyone on our dance floor, » the club wrote on Instagram on August 27. « Devices that allow discreet recording are incompatible with that policy. »

Founded in 2019 inside Knockdown Center, BASEMENT has become one of New York’s most respected techno rooms. With camera glasses now sold by Meta, Google and others, expect more clubs to follow.

Sonny Fodera is adding a £1 contribution to every ticket sold for his four UK arena shows next March, in Newcastle, Glasgow, Manchester and London. The money goes to LIVE Trust, the fund set up by industry body LIVE to support grassroots venues, festivals, artists and promoters.

« Without a healthy grassroots, we risk losing the foundations of our industry, » Fodera said. « These venues played a big role in my career. »

He joins Sub Focus, Lily Allen, Harry Styles, Gracie Abrams and Gorillaz in backing the scheme. LIVE Trust has already distributed £1.5 million through its second funding round.

Amelie Lens played a three hour set to 14,000 people in front of the Royal Museum of Fine Arts in Antwerp, her hometown, on the weekend of September 5. It was the first time the square outside the KMSKA, founded in 1810, has hosted an event of this kind.

The open air show marked the release of ‘AURA’, her long awaited debut album on her own label EXHALE. The record shares its name with her live concept, which has been touring for months and continues across Europe and North America this autumn, including a stop at ADE in Amsterdam.

« 14,000 of you dancing as one in front of the museum was something we could never have dreamt of, » she wrote on Instagram. The event was the first leg of Chaos In The City, whose second edition takes place in Brussels on September 26 with a HAAi b2b.

Amsterdam Dance Event has dropped the second wave of its 30th anniversary edition, pushing the confirmed line up past 1,500 artists. Organisers say the final programme will top 3,300 artists across more than 200 venues from October 21 to 25.

New names include Eric Prydz, Paul Kalkbrenner, Maceo Plex, Âme, Ben Klock, Hunee, HAAi, Max Cooper, Todd Terry, Miss Monique and Scooter, who takes over the Ziggo Dome. They join June’s first wave, which already featured Seth Troxler, Kerri Chandler, Rødhåd and DJ Snake.

Last year ADE reported a record 600,000 attendees. The anniversary edition is expected to beat it. Tickets and Pro Passes are on sale now.

Tomorrowland’s One World Radio has crowned ‘Talk To You’ by ANOTR and 54 Ultra the number one track of its Summer Anthems Top 100 2026, ahead of HUGEL and SOLTO’s ‘Jamaican (Bam Bam)’ and Prospa and Cloonee’s ‘Free Your Mind’.

The Dutch duo say the record built itself during a retreat in upstate New York right after Burning Man: « 5 complete strangers in the studio, messing around with instruments and layering ideas », with 54 Ultra, Jackson Shanks and Spilly Cave. Campfire, s’mores and cornhole included.

Rounding out the top 10: The Bausa, Jonas Blue and Malive, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike with Marlon Hoffstadt, HUGEL with Ultra Naté, Bebe Rexha and Faithless, Franky Rizardo and KI/KI. The full ranking is on Spotify.

Amnesia Ibiza has sold out its 50th Anniversary Closing Festival in under three hours, before revealing a single artist. General sale opened at 4pm on September 14. By 7pm, every Day + Night + Day combo ticket was gone.

The closing takes place on Saturday, October 10, running 20 hours from 4pm to midday Sunday across the Main Room, the Terrace and a special 50th anniversary area. The only remaining online option is a 4pm to 11pm ticket at 80 euros, with a limited number of tickets possibly available at the door.

Few clubs in the world could sell out a closing without a line up. Amnesia has spent five decades defining Ibiza’s dancefloor, and the rumours about who will play are already circulating on the island. The club is not saying a word yet.

John Summit ended his set at 5:20am on September 12 at Mandarine Park in Buenos Aires, 40 minutes before the 6am finish advertised by the promoter. Fans had been sold a three hour set. No explanation was given on the night.

The next day, Summit replied on a Reddit thread: « promoter should’ve booked a closer after me if they wanted party going on that much later. » He added: « i gave it my best, sad to see how unappreciative the crowd was about it but it is what it is. »

Opinion is split. Some attendees call the exit disrespectful, others blame promoter PM Open Air for overpromising set lengths during a punishing tour schedule. The promoter has not commented. Summit’s album tour continued to Rio de Janeiro.
