Surely one of the biggest questions we need to ask ourselves is, “Who am I?”

My role as a personal growth companion and prayer guide is to help you discover that for yourself by using some helpful methods to do this.

Starting with the Enneagram, and the nine different personality traits, we can discover parts of our personality that get in the way of becoming whole.
These are subconscious traits that can be made known by this ancient tool that dates back to Egyptian philosophers and later on the early church, used to discern what was stopping us becoming present to the presence.

Are you ready to take a deep dive into who you really are?

The Enneagram can also be used for team and relationship building, as it helps us to understand ourselves more but also helps us to understand why others behave in a different way to us.

Retreats In Daily Life are for individuals and small groups, and entails praying privately each day for a period of six weeks, including weekly meetings with me as your prayer companion.

They are rooted in the Spiritual Exercises of Ignatius of Loyola - a series of meditations and contemplations which help us to explore our felt experiences both during and after prayer, so that we can learn how to discern and know God’s action in our lives.

You will be introduced to some ways of praying during the retreat, and then we arrange a mutually convenient time and place to meet in person or online. At these meetings the conversation focuses on your felt experience of prayer, and I’ll then suggest readings and other approaches to prayer for the following week. Cost: Is done on a donation basis.

Growth begins once we become aware of our need to change certain habits and ways of thinking. The Enneagram woke me up to my Type 9 personality trait of "going along to get along" and therefore forgetting my own needs.
Awareness can be painful, growth is generally not comfortable and so we need to be compassionate with ourselves in the process.

"When the soul awakens, it becomes like a field of wildflowers in spring; the beauty comes naturally and without effort." John O'Donohue

This reminds me of the fruits of the spirit, we cannot force them but we can cultivate them through contemplative practices involving Stillness, Silence and Solitude. by @deepsoulnine

I heard this quote recently in relation to Empire Christianity which is all based on fear, control and lies. Whereas love is based on giving, vulnerability and truth. by @deepsoulnine
