Jali and I are playing at the @sidmouthfolkfestival Friday 31st of this month, so do come along and enjoy a surprising blend of music from hypnotic African rythyms, to soothing Celtic songs, and some dazzling jazzy surprises! A lovely book to read through a hot summer - an affectionate portrayal of a remote Appalachian community - all characters whose issues are solved unexpectedly, with an evocative backdrop of the forests and farmland that surround them, and their relationships with that landscape. I really loved the strong environmental message throughout the book, and especially the last few pages, which so beautifully encapsulated the differing themes of the novel into a skillful and satisfying ending. I shall definitely be reading more of @barbara.kingsolver 's work in future 👏👏❤️🌏#bookstagramuk #bookreview #bookclubofinstagram #bookworm by @deerejonessarah

To serious musicians, your instrument is not just an object, it's something you invest in both financially and emotionally. So when I decided to part with my beautiful @salviharpsofficial Iris concert harp - the harp of my dreams in my student days - because I just wasn't using it enough (3 other pedal harps at home if needed! 🙈) I was determined to find it a good home with a proper player. So I was thrilled that @nowakadrianharp took it on and now it's living its second life still delighting audiences across Europe with it's beautiful sound. I look forward to hearing more about it's new adventures! 😊 by @deerejonessarah

Really enjoyed this novel and would recommend to anyone else who, like me is fascinated by the paleolithic world. It's a fascinating and believable depiction of the culture of a neanderthal tribe who adopt a homeosapiens girl, and despite a slow start, it turned into an intriguing and exciting tale. Been a bit quiet on here lately due to the most awful flu 🤧, 6 weeks in and still feeling the symptoms. Had to play at a wedding in Scotland though, as you can't let down an excited bride with a list of requests - thanks to Phil Williams for carrying the harp for me, as I couldn't have managed otherwise...🤒 by @deerejonessarah

Such kind words from Kirsten, Rutger and family and friends. It was such a joy of a day with the most wonderful people and warmth and light. I just love photographing days like this and spending time helping to plan a day the is perfectly you. It's #lambing time here, and its magic to see them all interact with each other so gently. Our little first-born Diggory now has a little cousin to play with, born this morning. 😍 These guys are #Soay sheep registered with the #RBST and will never be slaughtered or sold off, they'll live out their entire lives with us until their dying day. Just back from an incredible trip through the Sahara - I'd never suspected how beautiful it is. We were very lucky as 24hrs after leaving they had torrential rain with flash floods & we probably couldn't have gone.
