yesterday I had the pleasure of attending the ASEAN MSME Summit and represented @wheyl! such an eye-opening experience to be in a sea of inspiring professionals and endless possibilities. 🇵🇭

as someone who loves eavesdropping, I was immediately sat for the panel discussions. not because they invited a star-studded lineup (we’re talking Potato Corner, Auro, Angkas), but because the moderators asked relevant, thought-provoking questions while the panelists knew exactly how to answer them with sincere honesty, even if it meant being vulnerable about the many challenges of owning a business. 🗣️

if you know me, you’d know that I’ve always had a deep desire and passion for supporting local entrepreneurs and businesses. I still carry the same sentiments with me today and it has its way of manifesting in my everyday choices, the media I consume, and in my career. 🌷

I may not show a lot of my work, but my team and I have been continuously finding ways to grow Wheyl in all angles possible. joining the ASEAN SOAR Together Programme has become a stepping stone in our journey this year and it gave us the confidence to see past the daunting hurdles and to take the leap to pursue milestones — we have a TikTok Shop now! yippee! 🥳

thank you to the ASEAN team, especially Queena and Aqilah for guiding us throughout our journey and never failing to answer our late night messages. also grateful to have met amazingly talented entrepreneurs, learning about their businesses, and what keeps them going. the possibilities are indeed endless and staying curious has never been so rewarding! 🌏

since my brother is too humble to post about this, i’ll take it from here: my brother is a Harvard student!!! 🗣️🗣️🗣️🦅🦅🦅🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

I won’t get tired of bragging about this because his win is my win too. and not only that, but he’s also taking up his 2nd master’s degree. crazy, I know!

I’ve spent a great deal of my life with my brother so I’ve witnessed how he was always going out of his way to push his luck even further, how he turned his rejections and failures into opportunities that were unknowingly there, how he traveled the world (mostly) solo and has a friend in every continent, and evidently, made a name for himself.

I can honestly say I don’t know anyone who’s as determined as he is and I’m confident that people who know him would agree too.

we’re such polar opposites, but I know for a fact that when we see each other again, it will feel like time has barely passed and the distance is barely noticeable.

see you when I see you brother @timothynotchalamet :P

p.s. I didn’t realize I have this many videos of you 🤢
