One year later and it’s still hard to believe you’re not here 😢

Thank you @onepeloton I thought when I finally got my Peloton bike my younger daughter @dayna_1229 who cannot walk or use one arm would be saddened because she wouldn't be able to use it BUT she can with ALL the other AMAZING classes such as strength, cardio, yoga, and meditation, then she keeps me company for the spin class.
Now on to race for courage

A smile, self confidence, friendship caring @kidsofcourage has brought to my daughter and so many children. Trips extravaganza without the watching eyes of parents, freedom to be like other kids happy and laughing. It will be my daughters 5th race for courage my 4th this Feb 2022 in MIAMI BUT we need your support to get to our required goal. www.rayze.it/raceforcourage/stropkay26

68 years old in my book of life today, final chapters, lots of lessons, greater purpose with ending hopefully ahead. Did the young me have any idea the road I'd walk, perhaps not because I may have turned back from the uphill journey...glad I didn't.

My 1st RACE FOR COURAGE to benefit Kids of Courage an amazing organization that changed my daughters life, gave her hope, gave her light. I never did a half marathon before, it was in Miami and it poured and poured. I couldn't tell if there were tears in my eyes from the struggle of pushing her in the wheelchair runner or the rain but I kept going. Barricades were taken done, the race basically over and I didn't even know which way to go. Then cheering me on was a beautiful group of people without homes living under a canopy, they told us we could do it, we could do it and I believed them because I knew they never gave up amidst the hardships they faced. We crossed the finish line tired, wet ready to do it again. This will be my 4th marathon, I do it to raise 7,000 for kids of courage so other kids like my daughter will know the love, the meaning the courage they give. Please donate link in bio

My daughter and I will wheel to the finish line in race for courage at the Miami Marathon in Feb 2022 to benefit an organization near and dear to our hearts Kids of Courage. She has been a part of this AMAZING group for many years. She has gone adaptive skiing at Mt Snow and 8 day extravaganza adventures in the summer along with parties and support throughout the year. They do not allow parents, they do not charge for the trips, they bring smiles and a feeling that anything is possible to Kids that are ill. Please check them out, consider donating or sharing our link. My daughter painted the paintings shown which are for sale to raise funds for us to run the race.

My children inspired me to cross many finish lines in my life, now their inspiration is seen in the eyes of my grand daughter and perhaps one day winning medals of her own.

Happy 30th birthday dear daughter..so hard to believe 30 years have passed. If I could go back in time the one regret I have is that for the first few years of your life I looked at you through the eyes of your disability, the predictions of doctors and textbook cases rather than the beautiful little girl I saw before me. You have taught me lessons about the human spirit, about the ugliness of people and their preconceived prejudices. You have taught me never to predetermine, never to give up, to have a purpose in this world. Perhaps the angels knew my heart and spirit needed a child just like you because to me you are PERFECT.@dayna_1229 by @deestropkay
