We are excited to introduce our new live performance series, “Little Barrels,” showcasing amazing musicians in the intimate setting of our barrel room.

For our debut performance, we welcomed Bay Area artist SundaY, performing stripped-down, vocal-forward arrangements of her original songs with bandmates Shogun on bass and Carl on keys. SundaY is a core member of the acclaimed Bay Area creative collective Family Not a Group and a member of the Top Chefs band.

The name Little Barrels was inspired by the philosophy behind small-barrel, small-lot winemaking, where craftsmanship and character take precedence over scale. We think that applies to live music as well. Little Barrels is about creating space for artists to share their music in a setting where every note and lyric can be experienced up close.

We believe music and wine belong together, each bringing out something special in the other, and Little Barrels celebrates that connection.

SundaY and crew were incredible and the space sounded great. We think this is the start of something special. ✨

Watch the full performance on our YouTube channel at https://youtube.com/@overshinewines. The link is also in our bio, and be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss future Little Barrels sessions. Even better, get on our mailing list for early access to the next one.

Yeah sometimes I miss my daughter being a little kid and wish she wouldn’t grow up so fast. But then I realize that little kids can’t make pancakes like this for Father’s Day so I’m ok with it :).

Old school funk, soul, hip-hop, R&B, reggae, and Latin. Classics and deep cuts. Played loud through a McIntosh/Klipsch system the way records were meant to be heard.

Overshine presents The Sunday Set-Up. This is the first of three.

DJ Noah Deezlee brings the crates. We bring the wine. All vinyl. No playlists. No skipping.

Sunday dread is a mood. Good wine and a proper sound system is the antidote.

March 29th, 1-4pm. Reserve your spot at the link in bio. Let Monday wait. #allvinyl #mcintoshaudio #overshinewine taken in Overshine Wines by @deezlee

“Wine + Soul” Creative’s Salon at @overshinewineco in Healdsburg, Black History Month edition was amazing!

salon (noun):
A regular gathering of people, often in a private home or cultural venue, for conversation, intellectual exchange, artistic presentation, or social refinement, especially involving writers, artists, musicians, thinkers, or patrons.

I can’t thank our guests enough for coming through and making this event one to remember. Just a few of the inspiring attendees:

Ernie Singleton (President of Black Music at MCA records through the 90s, former CEO of Ruthless Records, Senior VP at Warner Bros in the 80s, Casablanca Records, Fantasy Records, etc.) came through and told some wild stories, including the details of putting out Mary J Blige’s 1st record!

Jon Neddlesbey was here, fresh from a gig with Mariah Carey at the Olympic opening ceremony in Paris. A composer, producer, engineer, and multi-instrumentalist, his credits are too numerous to mention, having spent time in the studio with everyone from Quincy to Mary. P.S. He wrote the ubiquitous “Always Coca-Cola” jingle in the 90s.

The OG Bob Frazier from The Johnny Otis Show took advantage of the acoustics of the domed tasting room and blessed us with an impromptu trumpet solo and on point vocal rendition of Louis Armstrong’s “Wonderful World”.

Speaking of acoustics and spontaneous performances, Mic Flo of @dopewinesdopevibes got inspired and spit some on topic (wine related) acapella bars in the barrel room as well. Dope!

@malikcoop and Doc of the @thesuitors were here repping their Re-Education music project, legendary DJ Sha One (Northstar Zulu) was in the building, and there were just too many other remarkable people in attendance to list here!

To set the tone, the legend @nickotisdrums1 came through to play a special DJ set of selections (all vinyl!) from his family’s extensive catalog. Hits and deep cuts from Johnny Otis, Shuggie Otis, and their extended musical family.

Thanks again y’all. I can’t wait for the next one :) by @deezlee

Picture this: you walk into a room, and suddenly a beautiful trumpet solo cuts through the chatter. Everyone freezes, eyes wide, as the sound wraps around you like a warm hug. It’s like magic no words can capture that feeling. This man knows how to command a crowd! 🤯🫡✊🏾🍷

If you haven’t checked out Overshine yet, you’re sleeping on something special! This is one of my absolute favorite wineries to visit and moments like this is why. Huge props to Bob Frazier for creating these dope vibes! 🫡

More D’Angelo love. I never met him directly but was honored to be able to work w him through @djdojah for a couple of things. Here’s a couple of tour laminates and VIP/press stickers that I put together for his 2012 tour. More recently I put together a pitch deck for his newest album but I don’t know if it will be released and I don’t want leak anything. When the future looks back on the pivotal moments when truly new styles of music were pioneered, the era of D’Angelo and his peers will be remembered as one of the most important. We are blessed to have shared the earth with him. Rest in peace brother. #dangelo #soulquarians by @deezlee
