Seriously the best week and only possible because of the best people 🏕️💚

One of the reasons I love this camp is because every year when I turn up to the cabins I meet so many new people in so many different walks of faith that I would never know otherwise. This year didn’t disappoint at all. For the past week I had a unique position to be vulnerable with strangers who didn’t judge or hesitate to give advice and support to each other and each person played a part in our collective growth. It’s always awkward at the beginning of the week when you don’t know anyone in your cabin but by the end of the week it felt like one big family… praying that we can all bring what we’ve learned to other parts of our lives. taken in Twin Lakes Camp & Conference Center by @defnotneliz

#crsc24

This year leading up to Summer camp I have been faced with a lot of important decisions. Every single time I made one I became so anxious about what it might change for me that the idea of change at all started scaring me. That what I came to camp thinking about. I was distracted. But camp made it very clear to me what I was doing wrong.

When I made those decisions I was making them by myself. Even though I know that I make sooo many mistakes and I do them time and time again, I had chosen to trust myself over God. The weeks theme at camp was eternal and what really stuck out about it was that God has never made a mistake and he never will. He is steadfast. So why was I trusting myself instead of a perfect and loving guide?

Ultimately my problem was pride. I thought I could get it all figured out by myself but camp reminded me that God has seen so much else… everything else. My life so far is just a glimpse of what God has planned so instead of trusting the plan that I thought up myself, I should trust the greatest planner I know.
