Divyaushadha (Sanskrit: दिव्यौषध) “divine medicine; a heavenly remedy.”

I wrote this compressed piece with the intention of highlighting how the senses are a kind of divination. the physical act of tasting, breathing, and gazing, bridges the gap between desire and devotion. Desire is the kinetic tension that pulls you into somatic presence.

2025 was my very first time experiencing all four seasons, so I wrote down what it felt like to move through them just as winter reared its head. I almost didn’t make it past the fall, so winter felt like an embrace.

One of my favorite poems from my Chapbook in the works, “The Sward Took My Rest”. within my book there will be biblical themes, southern stories told in prose poetry and ancestral homage.
