Moment of Gratitude, grateful for Mr. Woodrow Poitier & Poitier Funeral Home for allowing me to direct & do the final closing for my family today. When I don’t have the words to give, I do it through my actions and what I know best and that’s providing service. taken in Pompano Beach, Florida by @dehawk01

There is something profoundly special about serving in my Havana, the place that shaped me, the people who have known me since childhood, and the community that has watched my journey unfold.

To be the one families call in their most tender moments… to be entrusted with carrying their loved one the last mile… it is a privilege I do not take lightly.

Service here is personal. It is legacy. It is love. And every family I walk beside reminds me why this calling matters. by @dehawk01

November is a big month with major elections, and Gadsden County is strongly encouraging residents to vote YES on the ½‑cent sales tax designed to support our schools and the children they educate.

I understand that many families have reservations. I understand that some choose to have their children educated in neighboring counties. And yes — our school system has faced its share of challenges and not‑so‑positive attention over the years.

But even with all of that, one truth remains: our children deserve the best educational environment we can give them. This initiative is about strengthening the foundation they stand on. It’s about ensuring classrooms have what they need, teachers have the tools to teach, and students have opportunities that match their potential.

And let’s be clear — this is bigger than race or ethnicity.

It’s bigger than neighborhood lines, personal disagreements, or past frustrations. When we talk about improving our schools, we’re talking about the future of every child in Gadsden County. No matter where they come from, no matter what they look like, every child deserves a fair chance to succeed.

A community’s strength is reflected in how it invests in its future. For Gadsden County, that future is our children. by @dehawk01

When we learn to embrace change, we unlock our capacity to grow. Stagnation may feel safe, but it quietly limits our potential. Step boldly into a season of transformation and watch how every part of your life begins to flourish. by @dehawk01
